Surviving A Walk Through Our Nations Most Dangerous City Baltimore Maryland.

We walked around asking people questions about the city from an inside point of view. Learned how to revive a dying drug addict first hand and learned some thing about the City from its everyday people. Drugs, Murder and Money has this city in a headlock but if you can look past those issues Baltimore, Md is a Beautiful City.

Teenage Pregnancies

In the old South-Africa the age of consent was 18. Our ANC government scrapped this law because such a law did not sit well with African customs and traditions. We have no age of consent now. The result is that we are plagued with uncontrolled teenage pregnancy. doh

The other day an 11 year old girl disappeared from her parents’ house in a nearby township. They found her three days later in the house of a 24 year old man. The parents beat up the young man and took him to the police station where he was released straight away because he did not break any laws. frustrated

That was when I arrived there. The women of the neighborhood – most of them mothers of teenage daughters – were in uproar. I ask them what happened and after they told me, one commented that the girl’s father should go to jail because the young man did not force her into his home. The girl was standing around there freely admitting that she went to him out of her own volition. shock

When I responded that an 11 year old girl belongs in her classroom - not in a grown-up’s bedroom, the girl said that age is just a number and another woman laughed and said that is a normal starting age. uh oh

But there is something else at work here. Teenage pregnancies come as good news to a family because the grandmother will take the child and get a grant from the state for looking after it. Babies are often made only to increase the income. mumbling

Statistics South Africa announced that 97,143 teenage mothers gave birth in 2018 and - listen to this: 3,261 children aged between 10 and 14 became mothers in 2018. But these alarming figures are not the only problem. The big sadness is that these girls leave school and only a small percentage of them return to finish their education. sigh

Then I read a blog about somebody going to jail for 20 years for having sex with a minor and I shake my head because here in South-Africa almost a hundred thousand men should have gone to jail last year. very mad

Mullet at the bat

With thanks and regards to

Ernest Lawrence Thayer -

Mullet at the bat

The outlook wasn't brilliant for the Kingston nine that day:
The score stood four to two, with but one inning more to play,
And then when Comey died at first, and Nadler did the same,
A pall-like silence fell upon the patrons of the game.
A straggling few got up to go in deep despair. The rest
Clung to the hope which springs eternal in the human breast;
They thought, "If only Mullet could but get a whack at that—
We'd put up even money now, with Mullet at the bat."
But Flynn preceded Mullet, as did also Jimmy Flake,
And the former was a hoodoo, while the latter was a fake;
So upon that stricken multitude grim melancholy sat,
For there seemed but little chance of Mullet getting to the bat.
But Flynn let drive a single, to the wonderment of all,
And Flake, the much despisèd, tore the cover off the ball;
And when the dust had lifted, and men saw what had occurred,
There was Jimmy safe at second and Flynn a-hugging third.
Then from five thousand throats and more there rose a lusty yell;
It rumbled through the valley, it rattled in the dell;
It pounded on the mountain and recoiled upon the flat,
For Mullet, mighty Mullet, was advancing to the bat.
There was ease in Mullet's manner as he stepped into his place;
There was pride in Mullet's bearing and a smile lit Mullet's face.
And when, responding to the cheers, he lightly doffed his hat,
No stranger in the crowd could doubt 'twas Mullet at the bat.
Ten thousand eyes were on him as he rubbed his hands with dirt;
Five thousand tongues applauded when he wiped them on his shirt;
Then while the writhing pitcher ground the ball into his hip,
Defiance flashed in Mullet's eye, a sneer curled Mullet's lip.
And now the leather-covered sphere came hurtling through the air,
And Mullet stood a-watching it in haughty grandeur there.
Close by the sturdy batsman the ball unheeded sped—
"That ain't my style," said Mullet. "Strike one!" the umpire said.
From the benches, black with people, there went up a muffled roar,
Like the beating of the storm-waves on a stern and distant shore;
"Kill him! Kill the umpire!" shouted raphy on the stand;
And it's likely they'd have killed him had not Mullet raised his hand.
With a smile of Christian charity great Mullet's visage shone;
He stilled the rising tumult; he bade the game go on;
He signaled to the pitcher, and once more the dun sphere flew;
But Mullet still ignored it and the umpire said, "Strike two!"
"Fraud!" cried the maddened thousands, and echo answered "Fraud!"
But one scornful look from Mullet and the audience was awed.
They saw his face grow stern and cold, they saw his muscles strain,
And they knew that Mullet wouldn't let that ball go by again.
The sneer is gone from Mullet's lip, his teeth are clenched in hate,
He pounds with cruel violence his bat upon the plate;
And now the pitcher holds the ball, and now he lets it go,
And now the air is shattered by the force of Mullet's blow.
Oh, somewhere in this favoured land the sun is shining bright,
The band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light;
And somewhere gays are laughing, and somewhere snowflakes shout,
But there is no joy in Kingston—mighty Mullet has struck out.

As ever was,

‘Growing Number’ of Pregnant Migrants Waiting to Deliver Anchor Babies in U.S.

A “growing number” of pregnant migrants from across Central America are waiting in Mexico as they hope to deliver their babies in the United States to secure them birthright citizenship, NBC News reports.
A report by NBC News chronicles how pregnant migrant women are increasingly flowing into shelters in Mexico along the southern border as the Trump administration’s “Remain in Mexico” policy mandates they wait there while their asylum claims are reviewed.

These expecting mothers, mostly from Central America and Haiti, hope to secure American citizenship for their babies by getting U.S. asylum through the country’s birthright citizenship policy.

NBC News reports:

A growing number of expectant mothers are among the migrants coming in daily from Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador — even Haiti — to more than 30 already overflowing shelters in Tijuana, Mexico.
“More women are arriving pregnant or with babies,” said pastor Gustavo Banda of the Embajadores de Jesús (Ambassadors of Jesus) church, which operates a shelter in Cañón del Alacrán (Scorpion’s Canyon) on the outskirts of Tijuana. “We have a lot of Haitian women and some Central American.”

It’s a period of great anxiety, if only because many want their children born in the United States. The U.S. Constitution guarantees that every child born on American soil automatically becomes a U.S. citizen. Mexico also offers birthright citizenship, but it’s not exactly the same: A child born in Mexico, regardless of their parents’ nationalities, automatically becomes a Mexican citizen when they turn 18.
The report sheds light on the dangerous journey that pregnant migrants endure, often risking their lives and their unborn child’s life, to attempt to deliver their baby in the U.S. to secure American citizenship.

In Chicago, Illinois, as Breitbart News recently reported, pregnant women from the Middle East traveled hours to deliver their babies in the U.S. and thus securing them American citizenship.

For illegal aliens, the birthright citizenship policy is particularly enticing as their U.S-born children are granted citizenship despite the parents having broken federal immigration law. The Supreme Court has never explicitly ruled that the children of illegal aliens must be granted birthright citizenship and many legal scholars dispute the idea.

The children of illegal aliens, after being granted birthright citizenship, are able to anchor their illegal alien and noncitizen parents in the U.S. and eventually are allowed to bring an unlimited number of foreign relatives to the country through the legal immigration process known as “chain migration.”

Today, there are at least 4.5 million anchor babies in the U.S., exceeding the annual roughly four million American babies born every year and costing American taxpayers about $2.4 billion every year to subsidize hospital costs.

In the sanctuary state of California, there are at least 1.2 million anchor babies under the age of 18, as Breitbart News reported. This is about twice the total population of Wyoming. The total of anchor babies under the age of 18 in ten U.S. states is more than four times the population of Boston, Massachusetts.

Apologies

People apologize for only two reasons; firstly because they were wrong and are truly sorry or secondly because they are under pressure to do so. I don’t care much for the latter and I won’t include those timid souls who are forever apologizing about everything to save the peace; whether they are right or wrong. That’s not apologizing; it is grovelling. mumbling

Now don't take offense as I'm not saying anything. This is all hypothetical. Besides, if you do it will only reveal what you think of yourself. hole

Let’s imagine a hypothetical situation during a small altercation on the blogs where I called another blogger the biggest arsehole I have ever come across. Allegations like that don’t just slip out; such an opinion of him was build from previous thoughts and it takes a lot of frustration to force it into the open. uh oh

If he then runs to management and I’m given the options to apologize or face suspension – a angel2 fairytale in itself – I’d apologize but it will not mean a thing. Nothing has changed. I’d still think that he’s an arsehole and I’ll probably apologize by conceding that he’s not the biggest arsehole that I have stumbled across and that I’m sorry for calling him that. Regardless, he will just become an even bigger arsehole in my opinion. Apparently we are allowed to have opinions… as long as we keep them to ourselves. grin

On the other hand, if later I should discover that my opinion of the guy was wrong and that he’s not such a big arsehole at all, then I have done him wrong and I should and would apologize in a most sincere way. I was wrong about him and I will tell him so. blushing

Maybe we can look at another hypothetical scenario; let’s assume that I’m told to apologize or face suspension – more wishful thinking rolling on the floor laughing – after expressing the opinion that half the members at CS are arseholes, I believe that I’ll gladly (and honestly) concede that half the members at CS are not arseholes. idea

Just a short blog

While Republicans are focused on 2020, Democrats are still trying to win 2016.

Nancy Pelosi often begins her speeches with 'Most Americans agree....'
This American agrees with nothing Nancy Pelosi has to offer.

Remember, conservatism is based on facts, logic, and reality. Liberalism is based on theory, feelings, and fantasy.

Body Of Frozen Stowaway On Airplane Falls 3,500 Feet And Almost Lands On Sunbather

John Baldock got lucky. Very lucky.

Baldock, who has a master's degree in engineering from Oxford University, was just chilling in the garden of a $3 million home outside London when he heard a thud.

"There was an almighty bang. At first I thought it was some scaffolding falling down and thought nothing more about it," one of Baldock's neighbors told the Daily Mail.

But it wasn't. It was the sound of a frozen body hitting the ground after falling from 3,500 feet.

"The corpse fell to the ground as the nine-hour flight from Nairobi approached London Heathrow Airport and opened its landing gear on Sunday afternoon," the Mail wrote.

Police later said the victim was likely a stowaway who had hidden inside the landing gear of a Kenya Airways flight that landed at Heathrow, about 10 miles from the house where his body was found. Upon inspection, food and drinking water was found within the wheel well.

The body created a huge crater in the lawn and smashed two concrete paving slabs.

Baldock was "very shaken" by the incident, the Mail said, noting that there was "blood all over the walls of the garden." A neighbor gave a first-hand account.

My husband decided to see what was going on and went upstairs to take a look. He was obviously quite shocked and went out into the street where my neighbour was standing on the phone to the police.

He was really shaken up. He'd been in the garden when it happened and the body must have landed so close to where he was.

My husband came back in and I asked him what was going on and he said "haven't you seen the man? The man who fell from the sky?"

I wondered what he was talking about and went up to see for myself and there in the middle of the lawn was a body of a man.

The Kenya Airports Authority said it was investigating the incident.

"We have been informed by authorities in London that on June 30th at approximately 1541hrs (UK Time) a body of a yet to be identified male stowaway was discovered in South London. The body was traced to the undercarriage of KQ flight 100 that departed from JKIA," the authority wrote on Twitter.
