If you want a good read then I suggest The Sunbird by Wibur Smith and Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett. My two favourite books.

Also The Good Women of China is amazing too by Xinran. This book is written by a woman who, for some strange reason was allowed to continue to broadcast a radio show where women could phone in with total anonymity. It tells of the horrific stories how the women of China were treated during the communist reign.

Dean Koontz & James Herbert are two of my fav authors also, although i admit I haven't acytially read one of theirs fora while, seem to be into reading a lot of true life stories at the moment - kinda make you appreciate your wellbeing, plus I couldn't read a book then watch a movie, I'd spend all the time comparing the two which would ruin it

Best time to read for me: In the bath

I don't think you the only one who reads - I certainly do although my choice is mainly non fiction but still might not suit many people especially on these forums because it does not include novels or political religious and what I think are trivial matters.

gussi: yeah nowt like a good workshop manual on how to rebuild a RR merlin.

Yeah Man
Bloody fine but far too techno for this lot I will wager devil

Maybe we should start our own private thread with permission from the ShuttzStaffel to vet all subscribers to it professor

I have the Merlin II Handbook plus several other books dedicated to Merlin engines and even the Griffon in the Dennis library here at Blasphemy Hall - probably regarded by some as Illegal as some of it says RESTRICTED

Also have **Spitfire - The History** (by Morgan & Shacklady second edition) The MUST for all enthusiasts, covering all development and production details of all the marks and derivatives. Then there is the ultimate Book at present IMO
** Spitfire Mk 1X & XV1 engineered** (very heavy and expensive) covering all aspects of construction with scale GA's and other drawings.

That lot would probably scare a few off even after the first three pages in each book but just think how nice it would be if we discovered one intelligant woman or more with similar interests rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing
