A DNR is never an easy decision. I helped my grandmother convince the family that it was "for the best" then I went home and cried for a week. It's hard, but what's harder is watching them suffer and knowing that you'd probably want the pain to end too..I wish you all the strength available to you, I'm sure you'll find it in the most unlikely places. Be good to yourself, even if it feels wrong- you need to be strong for yourself and your little one(s).

Thank you everyone for your support and kind words. They mean a lot to me. It is a very difficult time for me and the family but also we do expect things especialy with cancer. It runs high in the family. I just hope that my mom will make it through and no longer suffer.
I am back online at home now. I was computerless for awhile and was using my friends computer but got back on today at home. So hopefuly will be arround more often now.

Thats terrible..Im really sorry and i wish you all my thoughts and prayers. I know how hard it can be as my mom is always in poor health but not to serious which im thankful about. Along with all the others, i wish you all the best and hoping things will get better.

You mother loves you all very much for her to make this decision and sign the paper herself. She unselfishly lifted a large burden from all should this happen again. Not all families are as fortunate in these situations. Mine was one of them. So let it be of some comfort. Hope things get better.....T's & P's be with you

Tracy working in Pallitive care I can say that it is those that are left behind that feel the most pain.
Knowing that those she loves will,and are going to be alright is the greatest one can give.

So sorry to hear about you Mom.Love her while she is here.Tell her everything you feel and want her to know.My mom died in my arms last year.Just found out three days ago that my daughter -in -law has cancer.She is only 26 years old.The week before the news was that one of my brothers has cancer.Had a sister die with cancer a few years ago.I can't say that I know exactly how you feel but I know the pain.You and your family are in my prayers.

I had a very long and tiring and emotional weekend. My mom was rushed again to the hospital via ambulance on friday night. She was having her bad seizures again (My mom has cancer for those of you who didn't know) One was so bad that she had gone into cardiac arrest and we nearly lost her. Her heart rate had shot up to 181 and then back down to 18 and then 0 and back up again. It was a very scary time. So I spent the whole weekend at the hospital with her and family. Saturday she wasn't looking too good. It was a bad day for everyone. Yesterday (sunday) she was much much better. Sitting up in bed and eating a bit and laughing and talking so that was good. We all had a big talk and she has decided to sign the papers from the hospital that if she goes back into cardiac arrest that she dosn't want them to revive her and to let her die. It was the most difficult decision for her to make but she is tired of suffering and we understand that. So praying very hard she dosn't have to have that happen to her and that she pulls through. Although the doctor told us her cancer has gotten worse :o(
So yea it was a rough weekend for me and everyone involved as you can imagine.
Again sorry if this was depressing. Just thought I would update you all. Hope your all doing well and I am hoping to be back online hopefuly full time by tomorow at the latest. Its tough not having my own computer LOL I miss you all like crazy.
