Mercedes1: I never ever went looking and I think thats the key for that special someone finding you
yeah.. but once he finds you. .will you apply for his visa to come to oz and marry you? and for the guys, would they apply for visa for their chosen lady to marry them? or would just put it in the too hard basket?

Ah, that is one that wouldn't put me off, but given past it is unlikely.
I need some time on my own to concentrate on just me.Nobody else should have to share the rubbish i am dealing with for the moment and it's the reason i'm still stuck in this country.
Never say never though, but i would have to know the person in real life to do it....not from the internet or a dating agency!

Familiar with that boat, Robbie...in it myself.
However, I have to say that at this point in my life I wouldn't consider it anyway...my sons are still growing up, and I won't move away from them until they're both adults...4-6 years to go on even considering out of this area, never mind out of this country.
<<<< globetrotter and have always loved it- but i did happen to marry someone in a different country from my home its near the country i was moving to anyway

It will soon go, but it does make you feel like your in limbo.
To me it's as confining as prison, because it's stopping me moving on with my life, and right now obviously i have even more to want to forget!!!
One day i'll be on an even keel, looking at the sea, walking a dog when i'm not working and having a nice peaceful life where it's warm.
Till then, i'm i limbo, and waiting on the legal system.
