louise7: why do men always go for thin woman??never go for personality???like no1 knows that the person there dating looks wont change some day they could be in a car crash and be badly hurt and face smashed in are you still gona love them???i think guys need to cop on and look further than looks!!!
what you think???

Funny that you should post this as I just had a discussion with a chat buddy a few minutes ago. He said that if if I was fat and dumpy, he probably never would have started chatting with me. I asked him if personality didn't count. His reply was that you look at the person first and then if they look good, you talk and if the personality is good, then you keep on talking.

That's why I don't care if there is a profile picture. I want to know what is behind the looks. There are some awfully nice people out there that aren't God's gift to women or men.hug

You might be suffering from 'Syndrome X', which is insulin resistance, even if you are not diabetic. Quite common. General recommendations for that is to take high quality whey concentrate protein supplement, with non starchy carbs. Chromium piccolinate GTF daily helps to regulate blood sugar levels and reduce/stop sugar cravings. When we eat starchy carbs, this creates a dramatic increase in insulin levels, with subsequent huge drop in blood sugar levels, which makes the body crave more sugar, and the cycle continues. I am simplifying things but if you do just the basics as per above, you will probably quickly get control of the cravings. Replace much of the starchy carbs such as potatoes, bread and rice, with healthy carbs such as a variety of vegetables and some fruits, such as apples, pears, strawberries.

You are right people should not be so shallow !

We live in a world where appearance is more important than who

we are as individual.

As for appearances, my photos were pre pneumonia, i now look far healthier, slimmer and apparently even younger!

Not that i find that important, but if someone judges me on what they see initially they certainly will get a somewhat different version of what i am now.

The cats look the same though.

hmm...

ive been annorexic weighing 6st2lbs and ive also been a size 16!!

and i can honestly say i was happy with neither, and because of this it was impossible for anyone else to love me.

as soon as you love yourself, no matter what size, someone will love you.

or am i being overly hopeful?

No you aren't being overly hopeful.
At least in my experience what you say is true.

i'd like to think there is a connection between being happy with yourself and someone loving you. i might even go so far as to say its unrealistic to expect someone to love you if your not happy with yourself?dunno

wish i did have an answer!

If it were more about personality than physical attraction, then guys would be looking for girls as friends rather than romantic partners. Or they might just stick with guys.

Physical attraction is an inextricable part of a romantic relationship.

I think you're wrong. I have some extra padding on me, but I get lots of men attracted to me. Those who aren't because of the extra weight I just don't worry about.

You can't change what men find attractive, any more than a man can change what you find attractive. And there are plenty of men out there who are attracted to women with anything from a little extra padding to a lot of extra padding...and those who don't care either way because they do care more about the inner person.
