Snuggs09: And that image is????

I guess we all need to remember a valuable lesson. Don't judge a book by it's cover. It would be the same going if a man had hair on his back...would he be attractive? A lot of people need to remember..beauty is only skin deep..ugly goes clear to the bone. I am now gonna be silent on this issue, because that is what it is..we all have different opinions and noone is going to make someone think different. I am just thankful that we can say our thoughts and leave it at that.

cheers bouquet

druidess6308: I always love the men whose profile says "average build" and they're a few pounds overweight, or says "a few pounds overweight" and they're obese...do men not know what they look like in the mirror? And to be fair, men, do women do that as well?

I quite agree. Indeed, it makes you wonder whether it's genuine self-delusion or marketing laugh.

I wonder about this to, perhaps it is just that we dont see ourselves as others do.

I have a few extra pounds on my profile because thats what I am.

Laura25: You know, the funny thing is:
sizes here in USA are very much like what Dru said about 'body type' on dating websites -

what used to be a size 10 in women's closing a decade ago, is size 6-8 today. The manufacturers seem to make the same adjustments to an overweight population.
Yes Laura the same thing is happening in AU at the moment, at lot more stores are catering for a larger population. And lets face it not all of us are the standard size 10 .

If I checked that, probably the same for me. I go by how I look and feel compared to the rest of what I see around me, and I'm very honest with myself. I've never passed the BMI thing, even at my fittest after 10 years of dance and boot camp. laugh

There is a big difference between being overweight and obese. My comment earlier about people being shallow was directed towards the initial question about overweight people. Of course there has to be a physical attraction. Personality definitely adds to that attraction. There are a whole lot of shallow people out there and that is the main reason why I don't post my recent picture that shows my weight loss. I want someone who can accept me for who I am and who I use to be. The term and condition of obesity belongs in a different thread.

Not always. Sometimes, there is a BMI (Body Mass Index)score difference of '1'.

why do men always go for thin woman??never go for personality???like no1 knows that the person there dating looks wont change some day they could be in a car crash and be badly hurt and face smashed in are you still gona love them???i think guys need to cop on and look further than looks!!!
what you think???[/quo

It's an individual choice. The size of the woman does not bother me.I would rather go for personality.
However, a new study indicates that obese people contribute more to global warming
