Learned that from my mother.
Work smart ie never put off til tomorrow what you can get somebody else to do today:
Learned that from one of my bosses, he was a very funny guy.
Choose your friends wisely, for he who walks with a cripple will develop a limp:
Learned that from a friend who hung around with drug addicts because he thought it was cool. Nicest guy who ever lived. He was like a big brother to me when I was a smartass kid. He brought me to his home to let me watch him cook heroin in a spoon and inject it into his vein just so I would see how terrible it was. The lesson worked! He tried to kick a heroin habit by becoming an alcoholic, it didn't work. He succeeded in his 2nd suicide attempt by jumping out of a 4th floor window.
