This comes from a thread i have been reading, where a woman had been talking to a guy for a while, she suggested meeting as all was going great, and he then gradually stopped contact.
Now while i agree it's not a nice thing to do without any kind of explanation, many of the responses the Op got was that the guy was probably a Scammer. This guy had not asked her for anything.
My understanding of a Scammer is someone who reels you in over time, making declarations of love. When he has you hooked they then give you the hard luck story eg (sick relative needs Op)and they have no money, or they need air fare to visit you. More a con man
How was this guy a scammer??
Do you think it's a term here we use to freely?
I have used a guy in this but obviously it's nor gender specific

May be he was passing his time wth her or he was not serious for the relation, these are two common problem wth sudden disconnection
There can be many reasons I might add that contact stops and it possibly isn't that he is married or a scammer. People have real life issues that need attending too.
We cant force someone to contact, date us, or love us.
So the only solution is to take it on board and move on.

Hey Morgan
I don't think the guy was a scammer. Something happened where he lost interest and desire to see her again, or even talk to her. Maybe he was just really immature and chose to not just give an explanation.
Yes, I do think the term scammer is excessively used to freely.

In my opinion a scammers is someone who asks u money or lies about his profile, country or details about life.In the case of this woman they didn't make no commitment in internet they just chat here,is better don't put so much feelings in a date in net until u don't know good the person or u know her/him in real, because we must recignize this,is a virtual world and peopel promise u here many things ,and tell u many nice things which maybe are not like in real,so the answer is he is not scammer maybe a person who wanted chat in net, maybe felt alone, well he wrong should be correct and say this from first he want just this not a serious relation.

Agree ,but why he went wthout tell her any thing? He did not inform her,we all have our works
morgan you are right in the word scammer is thrown out to easy but when you are hurt that is probably the nicest thing they can be called, scammers don't care if their tag is used, but i agree it is used loosely

Hello Tony strange thing was the Op didn't suggest it, it was some of the posters kinda makes you a little wary

Like I said there could be a variety of reasons. Children problems, house burnt down, Lost his job and feeling down, gutless and couldn't face her and tell her he didnt want anything to become of it. Father had a heart attack.
Who bloody knows.............but scammer is excessive.
Now if he said I need $5,000 for an operation and it was given, then yes you have been scammed.......................who's fault is that?
I feel there is an over reaction of the term scammer, however it's best to keep an awareness for self preservation. In 2 months on here, i've been approached 3 times on here with scam oriented mail.

I understood ur post, but he was talking wth soulmate and for me soulmate is a life partner to share the happy and sad moments so it was not necessary to tell problem for disconnection?

Hi claudya i agree it is better to be honest about what you want and not make people think you want more
