Hell and Heaven, where are they? (39)
Hell is described as a pit of fire, so it is down. Heaven is descibed as being above the sky, so it up. According to my religion they are places. 
But from Buddhism, Hell is doing evil and heaven is doing good. So they are intensions.

When I was a kid Hell was school and Heaven was Kennywood
Now Hell is big cities and Heaven is the country side

In the Bible, several words were translated into Hell and several into Heaven.
Hell: 1.The vally of Hinnom,used as an example of the coming 2. lake of fire in Revelation. Then there is the 3.grave.
Christ by his death went to Hell (grave) and then by his resurrection to immortality took away the keys to Hell (grave) and can give life to those that endure till the end in the faith.
In Revelation there is the lake of fire to comsume (destroy) all those not of the faith. This Lake of fire (Hell) has as part of it burning, death and the grave cast into it and they are consumed also....then there will no longer be death and the need for the grave.(abode of the dead..fig.)
Heaven: 1.where the birds fly. 2.where the stars are. 3.the spirit rhelm that we can not see into because we are flesh. When we die, those who are Christ will bw reborn as spirit to life. Then this spirit Kingdom will be opened to us. Man does not go to Heaven, since God is to come from the third Heaven and abide with man on the Earth....in the New Jerusalem (City of Peace) that comes down out of Heaven.
All other bliss and torment or such man's ideas on Heaven are to be considered as to the source.....Man....who doesn't know his head from a pumpkin most of the time.

Hey, I know Kennywood! I understand why that was Heaven to a kid, too!
Anyway, to answer the OP...Heaven and Hell are states of mind, not physical places, IMO.

It is unusual to see such teachings on this site. There is a lot of religious bombardments here, I would suggest you be careful not to be drawn into them as they lead nowhere.
I like the subjects you choose, but I think you will have to explain the various realms, and also I am a little confused about naming six of them, when truly we count only five? (Or do you hold onto the half-gods still?)
