When last did someone else cook for you......? (125)
Tonight - got taken out for a meal by a lady....... had rabbit cooked in a red wine sauce and bbq'd pork ribs served with very nice vegetables plus a side salad - we shared the two main courses.
The service was excellent, the ambiance good and the company very pleasant.

Whahahahaa..... yes I agree wholeheartedly ... totally ridiculous innit? In a restaurant! Wow! Duck .... in a restaurant! Who in their right mind would eat duck in a restaurant? Nah, duck you eat in your kitchen, after cooking it for about 4 hours and then doing all the other cooking to turn it into that scrummy thing that Chefs do to duck. But eat it in a restaurant! wednesday...bbq chicken in oyster sauce and rice. First time in years though.

What I mean is .... we all eat everyday - to stay alive - but sometimes we have a Special meal, that we didn`t cook for ourselves .. doesn`t matter what - but YOU never cooked it, someone else did.One of my Special Meals happened a few weekends ago ..... I got woken up on a Sunday morning by my grand-daughter (8yrs old)with Breakfast in Bed .......(I just lurve to eat my breakfast before my 2 cups of strong plunger coffee and a smoke while I check out the weather sitting on the back steps)........ bleary eyed, and a banging on my door(!)..... and presented with 2 slices of burnt toast minus butter and draped with soggy microwaved bacon, and overmilked sugarless lukewarm tea.....and be watched with beady eyes while I eat and drink. The ambience was great - the room was still dark with the closed shutters. And then to follow the trail of spilt tea on the fitted carpet down the passage to where it ended at the kitchen door, when I was allowed up to go wash my face.

I guess it`s okay to lie in those type of situations, huh?An example I think of is when I was that age and had spent the afternoon, instead of doing my homework, baking cup-cakes for my dad ..... He ate his way thru the slimy undercooked grey things, with a happy smile on his face....

It was so long ago i dont remember, in a shabby restarant in the shabby suburbs of a city in the south of romania. other than that no comment.

Sounds interesting ..... try it again? What did you eat?It started with lunch yesterday in a restaurant then a home cooked dinner and breakfast this morning - really start appreciating Switzerland, Zurich in particular.
