Ahmadinejad says Holocaust was a “lie” ( Archived) (151)

Yeah??? well I have friends who were present at the time and videotaped the whole speech and they will tell you exactly what he said. And play the videotape to prove you wrong.

First the lie as it is generally presented.
False claims about what was said.



Now what was actually said.



Here's an exact quote of what he said in Farsi.

"Imam ghoft een rezhim-e ishghalgar-e qods bayad az safheh-ye ruzgar mahv shavad."

According to Farsi-language expert Juan Cole, and even right-wing services like MEMRI, the correct translation of what Ahmadinejad said is:

"The Imam said that this regime that is occupying Jerusalem must vanish from the page of time."

Ahmadinejad was being prophetic, not threatening.
He was citing Imam Khomeini, who said this line in the 1980s (a period when Israel was still selling arms to Iran, so apparently it was not viewed as a ghastly threat then).

In his speech, Mr. Ahmadinejad had just reminded his audience that the Shah's regime, the Soviet Union, and Saddam Hussein had all, at one time, seemed enormously powerful, yet the first two had vanished almost beyond recall and the third was now in prison. So, too, the "occupying regime" in Jerusalem would someday be gone.

His message was, in essence, "This too shall pass."

In response to rays diatribe, there is a great line in the NEW YORK POST

"It’s like a a lawyer who is defending a client accused of threatening to kill someone saying: “Well, Your Honour, my client did say he intended to murder the victim. But since then he’s moderated his intentions considerably, demonstrated by the fact that on at least one occasion he’s said merely that the victim will die"

You can't help it, because all of your information is filtered through the US news media.

For instance.
The US media will claim that the US is helping Pakistan fight of the Taliban.

But then, the US created the Taliban in the first place, trained and armed them, and still arms them to this day.

Or do you think they make their own arms, or buy them?
From whom, and with what income?

The Taliban are a US invention. Just like Al Qaida.

Americans think the US is helping Pakistan.
And what do Pakistanis think?

A survey commissioned by Al Jazeera in Pakistan has revealed a widespread disenchantment with the United States for interfering with what most people consider internal Pakistani affairs.

The polling was conducted by Gallup Pakistan, an affiliate of the Gallup International polling group, and more than 2,600 people took part.

Interviews were conducted across the political spectrum in all four of the country’s provinces, and represented men and women of every economic and ethnic background.

When respondents were asked what they consider to be the biggest threat to the nation of Pakistan, an overwhelming number, 59% of respondents, said the greatest threat to Pakistan right now is, in fact, the US.

Two years ago, a worldwide survey asked people what nation they considered to be the biggest threat to world peace.
And the US won that one too.

So, to answer your question.

No, I don't think the whole world is involved with covering up the truth about what Ahmadinejad said.
Most of the world knows very well what he said.

But most people in the US and Britain don't know, because the media distorts the truth.

Typical American distortion.

Ahmadinejad didn't say he intends to kill anybody or invade anybody.

What he said (in essence) was that one day, the régime illegally and brutally occupying Palestine (for over 60 years now) will pass from the pages of time.

I know he is right about that, It is even promised by Jesus himself (in Luke 21), and I thank God for his faithfulness to always set things right and deal with the oppressors.
