Hi fellow Malti,

When people present themselves like that, especially on a first date, it is a way of life with them, and whatever you do, you won't change them.
Character is no substitute for personal hygene. I place personal hygene above all else, because when you get intimate, it is what is most important.

Well Baron is the family title. We are all barons in my family, but then he has added another title, that of Chevalier of the Order of St Lazarus of Gerusalem.

So the next time you see him, address him as

Your highness, Baron, and Chevalier of the most Noble Order of St Lazarus of Gerusalem.

He'll love it!!!

Have you experienced this then?

I don´t really understand the question to be honest.

Few people would prolong such a date, and escape asap methinks.

It´s not even about making an effort for a first date is it? If someone turns up stinking to high heaven, they most likely have a permanent aversion to soap and water!

Same line of thought: If someone doesn't even make an effort to turn up *clean* on a first date...what would eventually come later when they get *comfortable* with you??!! doh grin

I don't expect a man to turn up in a suit or tuxedo...but at least as smart as the date venue calls for, and an aura of cleanliness about him to go with it!!

rolling on the floor laughing Oh what an hilarious thread! ... hahahahaaaa......

And Antcus .... you got them into your car first? ...serves you right fella!

You meet in an open place ....... with all your excuses ready ... and stand down-wind ...... and if BO hits you ..... you offer your excuses and run like hell for your other "appointment"! If no BO is obvious, then you sit and have a coffee and check out the other signs ... finger nails, dandruff, slurping habits, ear/nose picking/farting/etc ........ and then .......... you linger ... and hope for no latent defects to surface .......grin

Well Smoky, we all have our preferences, I was quite oblivious to other minor things like fingernails ear/nose habits. But smells hit me fast!!

I will pay more attention the next time. I will enquire about her hairdresser and her manicure expert and what shampoo she uses against dandruff. Maybe I will ask her about the conditioner she uses on her clothes.

Darling Antcus ....... she must been one hot woman huh?grin

Nein, darl, dont go getting all upset over me making fun of you .... you KNOW I can never resist you!

But just do what I say .... next time. Ja ja ja ... I do also realise that you just posted a thread - not necessarily your own personal experience, eh? Or was it?

Sometimes, I think of, what to me, seems an interesting idea to post a thread on ... and think NO .. everyone is gonna think I posting my OWN experience! Delicate situation, sometimes .. especially if one is as sensitive, delicate, of fragile ego such as I..... and you too obviously? Although I think your ego is much bigger than mine ... hahaha...grin cheers

Thank you darling Smoky. With me you can rest assured that I would come looking and smelling like a flower.

A small part of it is my personal experience, the other part is from observation. There are times when I have to return to the supermarket counter because of stinking people standing next to me.

But stinking on a date.............Oh Gee unheard of, that is one thing I would never accept. It tells so much about the person. If they don't bother to rectify what is evident, imagine how much they care to do what isn't

Wow, I got Antcus calling me "Darling" .....yay (that`s only cause he lives 2 hours flying time away from me ... hahahaaa!.. ja, I know these things! Donta worry darl, you safe from me.)

Ja, I knew you would be freshly showered, shampooed, hair slicked back, fresh clean clothes, expensive after shave, ditto the cologne ...... and the beeeeg half-track!....grin

The Real Test comes when you get used to each other ....... and the showers get less, the clothes dont go in the laundry, and the after-shave is saved for the "Boys Night Out". Beeeeeg Ha ha ha!devil cheers
