The place where:

Temperatures do not exceed 90 degrees in the summer
Or fall below 40 in the winter
Where there are no mosquitoes
There is an ocean or lake
Ski slopes are close by
Lots of outdoor activities
A city with many parks making one feel they're almost in the country
Vibrant and varied nightlife

Does such a place exist???

I feel sorry for people when a nice thread receives no reply, so
I´m responding to push it back up and in the hope somebody from the US will help you.

I can´t advise you, sorry, but my part of Spain is lovely!

Tall order if you ask me. laugh

Well if you can over look the nut farms and the libs, and if you are uber rich then it would have to be around the Carmel CA
Lots of sun-temperate weather, the Beach, and home of Clint Eastwood. You may have to travel a little to get to a ski area out around the LA area.

Carmel is beautiful. Great romantic get-away as well. And the mild climate is nice.

Thanks for that. Someone told me Seattle is wonderful but has rain in the winter. Hopefully it's not like the rain we get here in Ireland.

San Francisco. Often referred to as the city of 'Eternal Spring' for the reasons you mentioned. In spite of the cosmopolitan lifestyle, it still maintains an outdoorsy feel--Golden Gate Park being very vast and full of many interesting things to see and do. The hitch: trendy, over-populated (geographically quite small, only 43 square miles), extremely expensive for a West coast city.

After World travels, via uncle sam, I always thought the most beautiful place that I visited was Corsica In the Mediterranean Sea, it was quiet, very temporate weather, the ocean is clear blue and the people seemed pretty nice. Though again probably expensive living?

Utopia is where the heart is happy. If you wish it to be, it will be your dream. Search your soul and enjoy wherever you are.

It is not in the USA. But if we are talking about outside USA then many places in the world, including Europe. Spain fits that especially Andalucia.
