Photo ratings - for women only! (42)
Nope...turned my ratings off. Before ratings all over the place...sometimes 8-10, sometimes 4-7. Decided that overall it meant nothing.

Big_John: I have been rating photos forever. In fact I ran out of pictures to rate weeks ago. Now when I go there only a few are available. I am for sure in the 41+ age group.... way past 41. So I have probably rated everyone who is over 41.
We all have different views on what is a 10 or a 1 or anything inbetween. Mostly I don't think the rating mean much. When I look at the rating on mind the numbers are all over the place by age groups.

I noticed you did turn off your rating and overall you right. Without a comment from the 'rater' these numbers do not mean anything. I love your pictures, as I'm sure many other people do, and wanted to show my appreciation.
I think that these ratings could be very informative as each one communicates a hidden message, that could be decoded. I suspect that younger men - there was a forum threat going on on this topic awhile ago-searching for an older women to take care of their needs. Just the same way that younger women are looking for older men to have these needs met. I don't mean 'financial' needs. I think more in terms of emotional security, comfort of having someone to make decisions, etc.
There are ways to make picture rating worthwhile but until then it's more useless than it's useful.

Following with your second post, it seems to imply I rated one of your pics a 1 but as that's not true it needs to be cleared up.

These threads about photo ratings have been posted so many times. It´s really just a game and when you´ve been here a little longer you´ll realise that.
There are serial raters who are in almost everybody´s list and always vote 9´s and 10´s. These people are not forum posters btw. There are also a handful of members, women mostly, who actually contact people and ask them to vote 10´s in return for a 10 on theirs. Hard to believe but it´s true. There used to be a top 100 views list which was removed due to a handful of women and a couple of men viewing themselves in order to up their figures and making a complete mockery of the list.
My photo rating has been turned off for a couple of years now, it´s meaningless as far as I´m concerned and I have no interest in what people think of my photos. People just get too uptight about it.

i have heard from more new men and mostly much younger than me
than any day i can remember
maybe they are just being nice to me?but yes women and young men rate well
maybe the guys our age are voting on younger women?
