I guess it depends on who it is and how they say it! If they are my friend then I know what they are saying is BECAUSE they are my friend. Sometimes words can scar your heart, but it heals!!

That is so true, once it is out there you can't take it back. In my last relationship a lot of things were said which were very hurtful and something I can't forget 
But is somebody having an opinion about me and doesn't even know me, I shake it of. Can't carry that kind of crap around.... wears you down.

What you are is more important than what people think you are.

If I have respect for the person who is saying it I DO care. If I know someone is right...I do take what they say into consideration. I always consider the source.

I agree it always depends on how close the person is to me whether I care or not!
If the person is way off base and speaking from something they don't know anything about..I will explain it once and that's it, but only if it's someone I respect...if not I can't be bothered to explain myself at all! I get tired of trying to explain myself sometimes to people that have no clue!
Otherwise I could really care less what others think of especially rude judgemental people, because I already know who I am, even if they don't!
