I was wondering whether I could get involved in the forums from down south as there is nothing for South Africa on here. Before we go any further, may I add that I am not interested in sport, just in case there is reason for rivalry...

I am farely new to the site. help

Anyone and Everyone are welcome LightSeeker. The Aussieroom is very slow compared to the Internationlas. But there is also a chat room for England and Europe. It just depends on what abbreviations you stick in and what neck of the world you wish to talk to.
But we well welcome you with open (One assummes arms). But there are some twisted people around this place so it could be open anything.

Don't worry about sports. That seems to be an obscure discussion on this site. And if your not interested in discussing it just ignore the thread.

So jump in l/Seeker and get to know us. And let us find out about you. Like Do you have Big Round .........

Hi LightSeeker .. welcome wine

You'll have fun on here conversing Seems the Aussie lifestyle and climate also suits South Africans going by the number I've met recently who have moved into this area (lurve the accent).

One couple with young children took the long way round and lived in a very cool region in Canada for 7 years before deciding they couldn't stand snow for 8 months of the year laugh They've been living here happily for 2 years now thumbs up

Enjoy australia

Hi Serene,

The way I have heard it, there are more South Africans in Aus than in South Africa. My cousin worked and lived there for a year and says it is pretty much like home.
I am not thinking of leaving sunny SA, but if I do, I think I will opt for the southern hemisphere - it will have to be Aus or NZ for me.
Thanks for making me feel welcome.

No worries mate cheers lol .. yeah SA seems to have a pretty nice climate for the most part. I've never been but would love to cool

Visited Kenya and Zimbabwe some years back, but that's probably as relevant to you as someone telling us Aussies that they've been to Bali or something is it? laugh
