Christmas1: I remember as a small child..sitting next to my Mom. Snuggled against her side with her arm around me. Sitting on the green couch and watching tv. The smell of her skin makes me smile and cry at the same time. She died when I was 15...I will always miss her.

What a lovely memory to hold onto.

bigcity_kl: The most unforgetable moment in my life is when i was 10..

I remember my mum was pregnant, dad wasnt around. That morning i woke up, saw my mum cried in pain. So, i ran and told my neighbour. They took mummy to hospital..

2days later, i found all my relatives, my grandparents, my step mum in my house.. And few hours later, a van came in at the front yard. I saw people brought in 2 coffins into the house..

My mum and the baby were in there.. Mum passed away during the labour and so did my brother. I didnt cry at all.. I dont understand and i was lost till my aunt came and told me what happen.. Even i didnt cry when i heard it from my aunt, i did cry when i think about it, till today..

I lost the most important person in my life.. It was the most devastated moment and the most unforgetable experience for me..
Wow!! I have also suffered the loss of my Dad and my two Brothers that I loved very much. The pain always seems to find it's way back sometimes when you least expect it. I will never ever forget all the good memories and would never trade them even to get rid of the pain I feel now. Bless you.

OP, what a nice idea for a thread. You have a lovely smile BTW. I have numerous memories, of course, as does everyone.

I take time out sometimes to remember the more tragic few. I cry not at what happened, but how lucky I am now. I am thankful for very small things that most take for granted. Most of all I have learned to cherish love.

Some of my best memories are of my college years. I lived away from home in the dorms, and was, for the first time in my life, very popular. I wasn't that popular in highschool. In college I met numerous wonderful friends & most memories involve sports as I was co capt of the Hockey Team, and PAR - TAY time. I was an animal!cheers

Then memories from when my children were small - I can remember the moment when my oldest son , at age 5, scored his first soccer goal, the day his brother who is now 22 set off an old alarm clock in church (yay)that I had in my purse for him to play with - never dreamed he'd figure out how to trip the alarm! play wrestling on the floor, gardening & cooking together, we did everything together & are still close friends. More recently my youngest & I have had numerous wonderful day trips together - making memories.

In my past experiences, i had a lot of good things to share....yay ....Just like when i received the very first salary of mine, i quickly went to the Mc Donald and bought something for my mother just to share with her the happiness that i had that very moment and to show her that i appreciate all her efforts that she put in me when i was still small until i finished my College Degree....Im proud on her being my mother....hug kiss

Experiances? All kinds, the horror I try hard to forget, I had and still have ,in their 80s now, the great fortune of knowing wonderful parents. In the late 1960s I was a young fellow and economically this country was going through a downturn not so much different than now. My parents had taken our family from Seattle to Miami looking for work and home. Strangly enough we landed back here in Missoula,Montana and still not much for money or work. Christmas came and we were in dire straights. Father was and is a beacon of lite in the darkness and mother the rock, we had no gifts yet only a few days before the holiday. A local congressman had a huge garage sale and so Mother and Father went. We all had gifts on Christmas morning and us kids didn't care for a moment where the gifts came from because they were from Mom and Dad. The one gift I remember most was a stuffed Tiger that was almost as big as I was. He was a great buddy for me to play with, but he had a broken tail, which made me love him even more, and my parents for choosing me to care for this fellow. The way we see life as a child...sometimes late at nite I still go there...

I remember coming out of hyperspace and clipping some artifact called 'Skylab'. I fought for control and landed here safely, however, my Hot-Rod '74 Starlighter was damaged and I'm still trying to find parts.

In regard to 'Skylab', er....sorry about the mess. grin

It wasn't a waste of time me scrubbing all those lego bricks from the car boot sale with a toothbrush, making dressing up clothes all night long and putting the half chewed stuffed toy dog that was found on a compost heap through the wash about 10 times, then?

Thought not, tee hee hee.

Lovely story that made me smile, NR.
