yes is happens to us guys too, In E-mails exchanges I make it apparent I am into hiking and climbing mountains, and I keep getting Emails from ladies who weight 400 pounds and think a wilderness adventure is pulling the rv into a koa campground.
Not to mention they never look like the picks that are posted,

I think both genders may be guilty of Profile Disregard. A while ago I posted a thread asking a hypothetical question about age-range preferences on profiles.
The responses by both men and women seemed to indicate that they were willing to disregard a stated preference on a member's profile, and in fact some women (not realizing it was a hypothetical question) urged me to make contact anyway. (Ironically, it later became a question of actuality, although regarding location and not age range.)
Scant as this evidence is, it would appear to show that yes it does happen to guys too, although less often since gals are still less likely to make overtures. It would also indicate that there ain't no use in you getting angry 'cause it ain't likely to change.
