My theory is "you made them, you take care of them". They deserve what the rest of us have. Father's should have thought about keeping Mr.Woody in their pants.
I'm a single mother, and I work part time and take care of my disabled mother. We are a burden to the state, yes, because I make too little money and we get state medical insurance.
It's there, it is offered and I'm not doing without medical benefits for my son if I don't have to.
I hope you and Susy realise that I was commenting on another post about immigrants being a burden. I was trying to explain that she, the poster, may also be perceived as a burden if she is a single mother or who claims benefits for another reason, not that I believed it was wrong to do so.
This may be a little off topic but some people have low incomes and need a little help. It seems some aid is not always given because one does have a job. There has been a tendency for one to quit job because that was the only way they could get help. I have seen the threat that a person can put on another because they are illegal, too. The threat comes in the form of reporting them if they do not do as they ask.
You are right my friend. That is the "system". As a single mother I needed medical help and the job I had, I made a lot of money. I did not qualify for any help with my dependents. Some people even get divorced to qualify for some state benefits because of their income and a serious health conditions forces it. Yes, it's a constant problem, especially with employers in many agricultural or labor industry. They pay very little to their workers and threaten them with calling BCIS if they complain. Apparently they haven't realized if THEY are caught hiring illegals, it can be up to a $10,000.00 fine for EACH individual. Too bad none of the workers have turned THEM in.
My parents are both legal immigrants and I have grown up around many immigrans -legal and illegal. Remember that many of the jobs that many of us find undesirable are done by illegal immigrants. Also many have left their home countries because life was so awful where they are from. I do agree that something has to be done but remember most are not educated and are not taking jobs away.
Everyone has their own opinion on issues and they are entitled to have theirs. That's not a problem at all. Nobody should ever "jump the fence". Your opinion is just that and that's perfectly fine. It's when it ends up with the name calling or insults that has nothing to do with the issue nor an opinion, that creates such animosity among those who post, and those who insult. There is a difference. So, you have a good night dear. We'll catch up later.
That's right. She should of kept her small moinded comment to herself. Jan thinks she is the brightest on the forum and no one is smarter I guess. Her and Profeesor should get hooked up.
