I have been out of the dating seen for 2 years if you meet someone on line how many months should you keep it a casual dating before you only see that one person. Do you think if after 2 months you should start seeing other people or you should always leave yourself open to others until one states they want a one on one relationship

If you are seeing someone 'on line', how do you know what he is doing at the other end? Think perhaps that you should keep your options open until you meet in 'real time'.

I still can't wrap my head around dating. Usually there may be one date then before we would begin seeing one another. It is so much easier than going through the hassle of dating someone. grin

It depends on the people..If I feel a guy is the right one and hes showing Im the only one for him then if he tells me he wants us to be exclusive then I would consider it..Otherwise I wont.

I would say that after a few dates, you or he (mostly him) needs to state whether or not you two should be exclusive. Sry but girls aren't the ones who should be doing ALL the chasing. But for sure, after a month or so you need to take a leap and see where it's going.

Honestly I believe this depends on the two people who are asually dating...
Personally If I click well enough with the guy and we are both serious about starting a reletionship then i am more than willing to commit to that guy in order to have a meanigful reletionships
professor

i think if you feel a connection and you like the person enough why not pursue more

I believe (now!) that we have nowhere to rush. Sometimes it REALLY pays off to be patient and relaxed and take things easy rather that make hasty decisions. Two people may even be right for each other, but not ready yet for a relationship in the full sense of this word. What's wrong with just seeing each other and discovering each other without swearing undying love and becoming exclusive (and putting unnecessary emotional stress on a still very green little relationship)? And seeing if you both still feel that way about each other after some time and communication? And it's not like one's doing anything dirty by meeting other people, that doesn't hurt either, wise men say.

Really they say sometimes it's a good idea to let a fruit ripen in the tree and be rewarded for your patience rather than gobble it up while it's still green. Might end up with a baaad tummy ache and nothing else to remember....

thumbs up

If I met someone like that I'd hope to move from Dating to 'Seeing' them on a one to one basis. I think you know when a relationship potentially has 'legs'.

I knew very quickly after meeting LadyBee42 online that she was something very, very special and I've not been interested in anyone else in that way since I met her. I haven't been on any dates but the time I've spent with her and that was only after two months of countless hours of talking and visiting online and by phone. When you've got the right one, you'll know, I think. And then you won't be interested in dating outside that relationship no matter how far away they are. Instead, you'll pursue your hearts' desire. Or maybe not. Maybe that's just how it was for me and Ladybee.
