I will answer this....I dont ususally speak up on Religious threads, But You asked a DIRECT Question, so I will Give a Direct answer..... It Has Taken My 50 yrs of Life to find this answer....
Most Religions, are Man Made, and Created By Mens Beliefs.. and passed down thruout the Generations
Over 3000 Belief Systems Now...
Everyone has to believe Something, so They usually go by what Grandma Said, or were told by another human,
I have search for this answer for a LIFETIME!!!!
The Answer is, their is only one Truth, Christ came and explained what truth was.... They Like their Ways.... and DIDNT like the Truth, so they Crucified Him, To Follow The Easy Path....Which was easy for them...So Most believe anything, and then will fight for it, Even in Error...
Logic Knows their is, and can be Only One Truth....I spent about 13 years, Searching, and Seeking for the ONE Truth....
Everyone wants to know this answer, But only few will search for it.......
Example: A Girl was cooking a Ham, and Cut the Ham in half and put it in the pan...She was asked why did you cut the ham in Two Pieces, she said because mom Did... So she asked her Mom Why do you cut the ham in two while cooking???? Mom said because Grandma did.....
So they got curious and asked Grandma, Why do you cut the ham in Half to cook it????
Grandma said, So it would fit in the pan...
This is How most Religious beliefs, and denominations were Passed down, and has Overtaken Most of humanity...

I think the conflicts that surround religeon & beliefs is not so much about the differences, but more so about the "I'm right, You're wrong" factor. We get so lost defending our position, beliefs & religion, that alot of times, we forget what the fight was all about and in a sense it becomes a matter of being the one who was right and the one that was wrong.
The one thing that boggles my mind endlessly is why we can't sit at a table, and discuss things such as religion & politics without fighting, but with respect for one anothers ideologies instead of contempt.
The true tragedy is, the lives that are sacraficed everyday in an attempt to prove who is right, and who is wrong. When will the day come forth when we simply can shake hands at the end of a discussion, and agree to disagree and to see one another another day for a healthy discussion of what our differences are, instead of dropping bombs & lobbing mortars at one another.

I personally do not have a belief in any religion...
but...
I do believe that most major religions believe in the same god, they just call him by a different name and the story is slightly different. If you look at the histories of many of the major religions, there are major similiarities among the backdrop of the story...
yet..they fight and die, over who's story is right and fight & die for by what name they call their god.

Church is where Christians go to worship. A synagogue is a place where Jewish people attend services and a Mosque is where Muslim/Islamic people pray and praise.
I am a Christian because it was how I was raised and though I fell away from my faith when I was younger, it is now more important to me than ever and I am thankful for all the blessings I have in my life.
However, that being said, I'm not a preachy Christian and some people do not believe nor want to hear about my beliefs, which I totally respect and am totally okay with. I respect everyone's right to be different and not believing or believing is a personal choice which nobody should interfere with.

Hi I also not going in long discussions here to proog I am right...because with differant believes people will try and knock some things... SO I give just some of my experience and why I am today a Christian...
Also walked a path and live is not easy... but we, or let me refrase that I, was at a place where I even hated God....
The reason was, I never search for GOD in a relationship, only through people... People hurt people and dissapoint us... we are all human. But if we search God's heart... in time it will be find and revealed...
Also a lot of man made religions has been brought back, like praying to saints, or even, through Jesus Mother... but as said ... If you believe in God... and really search for him... Start reading first the Bible and pray that God will reveal Himself through it.... Many people know the theory...and even professors know it as just a book... But I know that I know, the miracles that I live and see everyday...
Now a lot of people can say, and even you, yes but what about Hindu or Islam etc... unfortunately if that is where your heart leads you... I can not give answers, and also, do not have to.. But I hope and pray your search will be sencere and you find the truth !! All the best !!
