lovingheart2: our parents are preaching to us and giving us advices too and we learnt from them..but it dosnt mean that our parents should be perfect before they can give us advices, right? they committed mistakes too in thier younger years that they are trying to relate to thier children so that those things that they experienced in life will not happen again to thier children....but remember our parents are not perfect but we learnt from them...
so this is also what we are trying to say, Jesus Christ used people who are not famous but sinners in the eyes of men and He lets those people, His disciples to preach The Word...it is the heart that God is basing becoz no one is perfect and everyone falls short in the eyes of God...

Do you not see the cycle there? As a child your parents preached to you, their parents preached to them and so on down through the ages...before a child can grow and develop independent thinking on their own to think for themselves their thought process is controlled the same as teaching a child that hot water on a stove will burn them. Religions work because they condition children to only know a belief about a god before they know whether it is true or not.
The same thing is used on young people to become suicide bombers.
How many old suicide bombers do you hear of? It is older people telling children, making them believe that it is right to kill other people and they will be rewarded by doing so.
Your on here trying to push a set of doctrines at adults who think for themselves and most of them have already heard this teachings and decided it was not true for them.
Adults are old enough to decide what they want to believe.

In theory a nice idea ,but you are talking about C.S. and you know that it will cause controversy without a shadow of a doubt.
What I do not agree with is using your knowledge of a sacred book and publishing texts from it to use as examples of your belief.

let me amend that to say the majority do not want to be preached to.
Your "poem", I'm sorry I didn't think it was much of a poem. A thought provoking statement/story which will get some to think about the actions of god. Which was okay, but after posting anything with a religious theme your going to get the counter-point to it. Your "reactions" to the counter-points became somewhat mindless preachings using the repetitive doctrines that are what - the answer to life? many people do not subscribe to scriptures as being the answer to their lives.
