There are a couple places that are still good. There are some midwest states that are Okay. Every state has its own character, culture, and flavor; you might find one state more interesting than the other one. As for crime well stay away from the bad neighborhoods and you should be okay. Normally a good rule of thumb dress conservative that way you don't give yourself away as tourist. Some of the bigger cities do have some crime like New York City, Chicago, LA, but there are other cities that are less populous, which are worth visiting and are safe. Actually Virginia and North Carolina are nice states to visit.

Some of the southwestern state they love there guns, but not everybody carries a gun. One thing keep in mind talk to drunk people and don't talk about religion and politics and don't discriminate against any minority and believe me you will be for the most part safe.

Come to Central Florida. We have Disney World and its attractions....."It Is A Small Small World".....It should be safe enough to visit.
Just joking some....there are plenty of safe places in the US to visit.

Also, our water is poisoned. Our skies are blackened from all the coal burning power plants. We have to get out of our cars and move remove the bodies from the street, just to go to the grocery store.
