yeah mate theres uncontrolled zone. armenian extremists with russian army invaded that teretorry in early 90s. now azeri goverment dont have control there.so no one allowed enter that place.but overall the azerbaijan is one of the safest place in the world at the moment.check out how many turists killed or harmed in last 10 yrs in Azerbaijan.i would say almost NONE.come here and i promise u ,u ll be surprised by safety.but i m just answering u.i dont advertise my country here.i dont get paid for it.i m a cosmopolitan person.

well in most places it is safe..except for some very large cities and also the half off discount sales at the mall..dont go to them, they is some very agressive women who might cause a stampede and run you over. but now it seems like that country is more dangerous than Russia.

Having spent over 2 years in Baku I can say that they're about the same. Both have their good and bad points. I must say I saw a lot of positive changes in Baku and Azerbaijan in general during my time there.
