I lost my sense of smell many years ago. I miss many scents that would bring back many fond memories. Especially the smell of salt in the air. Growing up near Cronulla meant it was always in the air.

I have about a dozen roses planted and enjoy the beauty of them. My daughter lets me know how good theie secent is. Can I have that one in my garden?

I spent part of the day picking lemons (so many that the branches are going to break). Lemon scent is so refreshing, wish I could smell it. And the oranges are just as bad, really need cutting back the tree.

But being a sinus sufferer, and having a skin allergy to fragrance, sometimes I think it is a bonus not to have a sense f smell. Especially when I have to walk through the perfume displys.

But on the brighter side, it does have advantagesbarf especially when I go outback with friends and it can be a bit of time between having a good tub or just a Pomme wash every other day.peace yay yay

Nothing like the scent of a perfumed garden...to get the senses rolling...not to mention all the happy little bees, filling their bulging legs with pollen...flying with excess weight back to the hive, just to get a bit of honey...I wish I could find a way toorolling on the floor laughing

plenty of pollen and nectar around here, it is too cold for the lazy bees to collect...

so there is plenty to go around...

I have a butterfly bush in my garden, and when it blooms -late spring early summer - all the butterflys come and visit us love

we have salvias growing wild under our roses and bushes the bees love them... I had some red ones, but they gradually started to bloom pink and then white. Someone in the area must have whites and the bees were pollenating across .... but I noticed last week .. one red salvia back again confused got me totally bamboozled.

I havent got a butterfly bush here as yet, but there will be one planted soon, got to get some cuttings from my favourites up at Mums.

that planting under your roses would look so lovely Shell. You can also get a small blue salvia that looks great under roses.

I have managed to finish mulching all one side of the garden, so now the bulbs should be able to grow up weed free, the earlicheer are already up, so flowers wont be that far off smitten
