DEAR Barack, Last year I mismanaged my funds and this year my family and I cannot decide on a budget. Until we can come to a unified decision that fits all of our needs and interests, we will have to shut down our check book and will no longer be able to pay our taxes. I'm sure you'll understand. Regarding one type of tax...I thought it was unconstitutional for US citizens to pay income tax and that only very few indeed pay if at all.

Essentially, you seem to be taking responsibility for your present demise:....Your screwing up on managing your funds last year, plus since then, an inability to work out a workable budget.
So what exactly is it you are blaming Obama for? (at least that's how it looks to me, that you are).

$100,000 plus college loan bills, and the right to buy our own health insurance, you know...for when you're really sick, so you can choose between taking time off from work and self medicating, or continueing to work yourself sicker so you can pay for health insurance while quietly shuffling off to your grave...under a doctor's supervision.

I have American pals, educated and generating their own good incomes...and they make no bones about the fact that many people just do not pay income tax. I even know one who took on Internal Revenue who have since left him alone, when he told them they cannont constitutionally force him to pay any income tax. And he hasn't, for many years now.

But isn't President Obama trying to change the medical system there? So that everyone is able to access good health care, so that it is not just for the wealthy and/or have good employer supported schemes? I understand there has been a huge outcry at his attempts to do this. I could be wrong.

Some people not owing income tax, and income tax being unconstitutional and thereby unenforceable are two different things.
The first being a well known fact because income tax is based on...income, and the latter being... just not true.

I wasn't "airing my laundry" so to speak, It was a sort of joke. But true at the same time. Not directing towards any one person. It's just how I feel about our current president and ONE of the issues here in the states.

Three: They simply do not file income tax in which case the IRS will if fact catch up with them at some point ...(took them 15 years to catch me for 5 years of not paying...with late fees ect. they CLAIMED I owed 33,000 that started out at about 5000 owed) ....Ask Redd Foxx if he thinks it's a good idea to not pay your taxes?..

Good morning Venere...did you actually see his tax return?...In other words, do you know for a fact he makes good money, but pays no taxes?...Many peeps make this claim and "taking " on the IRS is not an easy task and is quite expensive as one needs legal representation......Every person in the US who receives a "payroll" check also receives a W-2 statement at the end of each calendar year...This W-2 statement is also sent to the IRS for matching and tracking...People who work and are classified as "contract" labor receive a 1099 statements at the end of each calendar year...A copy of this is also required by "law" to be sent to the IRS by the company or person who contracts with them...again for matching and tracking...Any person who "earns" over $600.00 per year will be issued a 1099 and subject to Federal Income tax on the money.....People who don't pay Federal income tax in the US are subject to very stiff fines, high interest, compounded monthly, on the unpaid tax amount, and prison time......There are NOT lots of people in my Country who simply refuse to pay or DO NOT pay Federal income tax...you are mistaken....------ This thread is Archived ------

yes we sure do. and we also many fees depending on what state, county, and city we live in. Hi Ocee, Sometimes I don't even know how we do it.
Isn't it amazing how we are perceived by those who are misinformed. But like many things in life,,,,if you are not living it than it may not be conceivable by a whole world of good people.

not sure about all the mumble jumble there ....However if you earn an income you owe "Income Tax"....it is that simple....if a company does a few run arounds and smoke screens that makes them LOOK like they make no money are simply lieing on the the tax returns.....if you earn an income ,you owe income tax ....period------ This thread is Archived ------
