bluejay2011: The ppl who have lost their cars, homes and businesses will not be covered for insurance. This will be classed as a riot or an act of terrorism, no insurance.

It is only a matter of time until this happens in Aust and NZ.

I've been listing to the British Parliament for last hour or so.
Unlike government here all members got an opportunity to stand and speak there electors concerns.
During the sitting they talked quite a lot about money being made available through police channels that fully compensates victims of riots, including property, homes and business. Not at all like the crap Queensland government for example dish out

Martia: You know its strange really, I think that no one is allowed to express themselves any more or allowed to do anything as if something goes wrong there is always the problem of someone being sued.
The outcome is a lot the fun things to do in the fresh air are not available any more.

Many yrs ago I watched a sci fi film where the population just sat there in booths doing everything they wanted to do having the time of thier lives but never leaving this booth with these headsets on.

Is this the way of the future

your trying to be smart or something?

I think it's past time for England to bring in the army. Stop it NOW - no mucking about - people have now died.

Thugs, hooligans and idiots the lot of them - fortunately the police are tracking many down through photos lifted from video - they are also talking about tougher penalties in their Parliament.

London Olympics are only a year away - they need to get their act together or the world will be turned off and scared of travelling to a country that has always been considered a safe destination til now.

UK economy is stuffed, they are just making it so much worse - flaming idiots.

very mad very mad

Hi Martiawave

Sadly, I think for some, the way of the future is being constantly entertained by computer games, must have ipod, ipads, mobile phones, addidas and nike products, etc..

Gone are the days where kids got excited if you bought them some tools to create things with... I remember buying mine, hammers and nails and wood to build things.. and things like a sacred tin of colored pencils dont cut it anymore..

I have no idea where this is all going to lead.. but at some point, sometime, hopefully people will wake up and actually see some of the beautiful things in this world... some created and some that nature provided.

Merri and Toff I think the outcome is far to depressing, unless we run out of electricity for a few months and force the people to see what they are missing....even then I doubt it .
It will change when the earth renews itself again or it blows to smithereens.
All we can do is the best we can for friends and family and the ones who need us! as there is no solution.

Thiers only one way they will stop the riots and thats if they bring the army in. Once they get control again the damage can be repaired but sadly it will never be the same thier again.

Martia, its really sad.. my mum walks around half her life saying " we need a war to make people realise what hunger and cold is." I never agreed with her, but it's her way of saying " we need to jolt everyone outta their complacency"... and in part her real meaning is sort of correct..

Mum was a teen in the war time, in Trieste, Italy and the smell of Auschwitz was in the air. Her house was bombed, and food was scarce. She always says, that that period set her standards and made her not only grow up, but to save, learn, and appreciate all that is beautiful.

cheers
