blumoon: Considering that the home crowd refereed the second half, I suppose we've got to be happy with a point.
I don't think I've ever seen a worse bunch of cheats and divers than that Liverpool team,. Suarez reminds me of the mock Ronaldo, in that everytime he loses the ball, he's pleading for a free kick/ pen/ card for an opponent. Adam & Lucas realised that were given carte blanche to hack and kick anybody they saw fit and duly obliged. I could go on. All in all, it's hard to blame Liverpool if they've sussed out a weak-willed referee will buy every pup they sell him. The second yellow for Mario was pathetic refereeing in it's craven playing to the gallery - it's not Mr Atkinson's first dodgy sending off at anfield this year, either. At one stage (around 70th minute to the end) every single 50/50 challenge (especially in their half) seemed to result in a Liverpool free. I'd love to see the stats for that part of the game. It just beggared belief.

Liverpool are probably thrilled giddy with a point, (God knows, the way the ref's authority unravelled almost into the realms of farce towards the end, they probably feel that they deserve all three).

Look forward to putting manners on them in January.

Hows Europe going for ye Blumoon? dancing
I know it aint too smooth for United but all we need is a point and were through! Just shows money cant buy the champions league, as Chelsea already proved!

It was fascinating watching Nasri yesterday, i can recall him touching the ball once in the whole game, just shows what money-grabbing unpassionate players can do for a club!

Gareth Barry and James Milner??? Two useless numpties!

Lescott in my opinion is a terrible defender, very reliant on Kompany at the back!

Liverpool deserved to win the match yesterday, only for Hart it would have been 3-1 or 4-1, Kompany should have been sent off and Balotelli deserved his red card in my opinion as he did lead in with his arm raised. Then he goes down the tunnel and kicks the Liverpool dressing room door in??? Nice guy eh...

I saw signs yesterday and against Napoli that the easy fixture list to City's season has made them look better than what they actually are, the United game was a freak result in a heated derby, and im confident that Chelsea will get a result against ye too in 2 weeks time...

Enjoy the Europa League where ye belong! applause

Jesus Christ an small bit of success can really go to a fans head, you didn't even lose the game and you're sounding like a sore loser...must be something in the Manchester air..

A pure biased analysis

blumoon: You know that you've had a good away day when you're once illustrious opposition celebrates like they've just won a major cup game even though they didn't win. Bearing in mind we scored their goal and played the last 10 mins with 10 men and they played the whole game with 12 (Martin Atkinson has to be a scouse fan.....Suarez diving like a whinging baby all day and Reina handling outside his area). However it was probably the toughest away test of the season and we remain 5 clear and still unbeaten. Norwich next up at Eastlands for City and a Monday night at Stamford Bridge after. Results going our way too at the weekend. Spurs becoming a major threat though imo.

rolling on the floor laughing I think Mac is right. Rose tinted glasses and you only drew.
Joe Hart saved them and while I agree about Suarez I still think he is a quality player. Dalglish got his tactics right in fairness to him and stifled the midfield whil still allowing the Pool to attack. Its one game and you havent even lost esp after a bad result in Europe. Expectations have risen a bit much I think.

Not sure about Spurs being a threat for first place as I doubt their squad and quality but only time will tell.

scriobhneoir:

Spurs are no more a threat to ye than the dog of the road. They MIGHT be a threat to us for 4th but I think they'll run out of steam fairly soon and start looking like the very ordinary team they are.

.

Ahem I am a Spurs fan and I sincerely hope we get 4th or better this season. I think if we stay clear of injuries etc we could do it.

Probably laugh

I think he will drop Sczesny, Vermaalen, Van Persie, Ramsey and Walcott to give them a rest. Apart from that he will go with a strong team so we dont get humiliated........again blues

On the way up and hopefully Wilshire will be back soon. Still needs to buy quality if we are to compete for the top spot. City are flying and Im sure your happy, apart from Europe that is.

DUBLINGUY1973: You're kidding, right?

Lescott is not half the player he was at Everton and even then he still couldn't lace Rio's boots now. Lescott may be better than Evans but then I don't really rate Evans either. If Lescott was at United, he would rarely even make it off the bench.
Lescott is an enigma to me but I will defend him cos he is a Blue laugh. Prefer him to Kolo who is finished I reckon and young Savic is not ready. We are still a player or two from the finished article.....

Your right there........Evans has a history but Lescott has a future laugh

DUBLINGUY1973: True but I still think its funny that he has more premiership medals than Lescott and Stevie Gerrard anyway. Maybe I'm easily amused

He'll probably have more Championship medals at the end of his career too because that's where he'll end up

Carling Cup tonight!

Man City, Chelsea, Blackburn treble tickles my fancy at 12/1..

Also a Man City/ Man U double is 2/1 with Powers, not bad!

I think City will have a bit too much for Arsenal tonight, will be a battle of the benches and City have a strong bench! I think Chelsea will beat Liverpool tonight, Dalglish will be resting players and Villas-Boas will be keen to win this match to get the fans back on side. Blackburn have a tough one away to Cardiff, but premiership experience and the fact Cardiff have not won any of their last 10 meetings against premiership sides swayed me for Blackburn!

12/1 is a nice price! ireland
