Still United in my opinion. Bad result tonight but I think Wigan were due a win. They have played well lately but have gotten some bad decisions given against them and United underestimated them tonight and got punished for it. I reckon that result will show United that we can't afford to take any team lightly from now until the end of the season. It might just be the kick up the backside we needed.

I had to laugh at Mancini's feeble attempt at mind games after they beat West Brom though. He said he thinks United will still win it. He's right but I don't really think he believes that. He's just saying that in the hope United will get too cocky and slip up again. Not going to happen though scold

United were terrible. Wigan fully deserved the 3 points. I still think its United League becaues City are away their next two games and their away record is awful. United have two home games coming up. No need to panic just yet, a 5 point lead with 5 games to go is a good lead.

Damien Comolli sacked by Liverpool !!!!

I wonder is Dalglish circling the wagons. Hard to blame Comolli considering that Dalglish took the job based on him being the one who has the final decision on who to sign ?

I think the owners wanted someones head and they thought sacking Kenny may not go down well with the fans so Comolli was the next best. If they don't win the FA cup I think Kenny may go in the summer. But Liverpool fans have to realise they are no longer the power of old and may very well never be again. Their place in the leage may be with the likes of Villa, Spurs, Everton and the likes. They are all big sides with a big support and have had success in the past, but they don't have and won't have what it takes to win the league for many many years!

Yeah I can't disagree with any of that. Their long term future as regards competing at the top table is not likely to change until they address the issue of the stadium. I can't see the owners doing an Abramavic. A shared stadium for a city of Liverpool's size would be to everyone's mutual benefit I think.

I still think Utd will win myself. Fergie experience has come to9 the fore the last couple of months and I can't see him letting the players lose it now.

I have to agree about the stadium. If you look at all the big and successfull clubs in Europe they all have stadiums that can hold 70,000 plus supporters. Liverpool need a stadium like that but I can't see the new owners shelling out for that. I think the odd FA Cup ot League Cup is all they have to look forward to in the foreseeable future.
