AgentAjax: If any person knows the whole of the Australia Fair put their hands up now!!! I only know the first verse. What I do like about it, it very much resembles my spelling. The full version: Australians all let us rejoice, For we are young and free; We’ve golden soil and wealth for toil, Our home is girt by sea; Our land abounds in Nature’s gifts Of beauty rich and rare; In history’s page, let every stage Advance Australia fair! In joyful strains then let us sing, “Advance Australia fair!”
When gallant Cook from Albion sail’d, To trace wide oceans o’er, True British courage bore him on, Till he landed on our shore. Then here he raised Old England’s flag, The standard of the brave; With all her faults we love her still, “Brittannia rules the wave!” In joyful strains then let us sing “Advance Australia fair!” Beneath our radiant southern Cross, We’ll toil with hearts and hands; To make this Commonwealth of ours Renowned of all the lands; For those who’ve come across the seas We’ve boundless plains to share; With courage let us all combine To advance Australia fair. In joyful strains then let us sing “Advance Australia fair!”
While other nations of the globe Behold us from afar, We’ll rise to high renown and shine Like our glorious southern star; From England, Scotia, Erin’s Isle, Who come our lot to share, Let all combine with heart and hand To advance Australia fair! In joyful strains then let us sing “Advance Australia fair!”
Shou’d foreign foe e’er sight our coast, Or dare a foot to land, We’ll rouse to arms like sires of yore To guard our native strand; Brittannia then shall surely know, Beyond wide ocean’s roll, Her sons in fair Australia’s land Still keep a British soul. In joyful strains the let us sing “Advance Australia fair!”
robplum: oh well thats your right but i certainly rejected there harmful rubbish a long time ago. I also visited lot of countries and considered other stories to.
If you look the whole world is driven by cause and effect, every aspect of this world is in a constant flux of change. Nothing on this planet can be said to exist from its own side.
Then take the time to give careful listen to the dog crossed the road in Melbourne last night, attacked a 31 year old, followed her into her house and killed a four year old girl watching TV. In addition its been noted the same family earlier in another location had another child attacked by a dog and further suffered there house been burnt down. Really sad story...in past the children had to have created that karma, and i mean in past life, not something else.
Then look at the Xmas story-line perpetrated from lies starting with the Santa Claws crap, and the economic activity generated by that. Then the Easter story-line clothed in chocolate in an attempt to explain the resurrection. Reincarnation, it falls a long way short of explaining anything useful.
I believe our nature is moving energy (karma) without cause there would be nothing, having created cause the effect of our actions, give rise to an outcome seeded by that action, it is certain to turn up. That line of thinking is arrived at by engaging in a lot of study. Not by just listening to a bunch of clearly visible lies...
The notion of reincarnation has been a round a long long time long before the flawed story promoted by the lazy minded clowns forcing it on the people of Australia when the Constitution does not allow for it, and i certainly believe its a load of rubbish.
Your a mean man scrouge THERE IS A SANTA

Traveling in a fried-out combie On a hippie trail, head full of zombie I met a strange lady, she made me nervous She took me in and gave me breakfast And she said,
"Do you come from a land down under? Where women glow and men plunder? Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder? You better run, you better take cover."
Buying bread from a man in Brussels He was six foot four and full of muscles I said, "Do you speak-a my language?" He just smiled and gave me a vegemite sandwich And he said,
"I come from a land down under Where beer does flow and men chunder Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder? You better run, you better take cover."
Lying in a den in Bombay With a slack jaw, and not much to say I said to the man, "Are you trying to tempt me Because I come from the land of plenty?" And he said,
"Oh! Do you come from a land down under? (oh yeah yeah) Where women glow and men plunder? Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder? You better run, you better take cover."
You clearly have no idea what Buddhist perceive, from i've read of other posts of yours you also have no idea what compassion in a Buddhist sense implies. Your sheep like head in the sand view pertaining to your supposed view of good will towards others implies everybody should piss in your pocket and not try and assist you to listen up
The religion of Ten Gurus ( Sikhism ) is the only religion you never hear about, yet the most profound.
Sikhism was established by ten Gurus, human spiritual teachers or masters, over the period from 1469 to 1708 - that is over a period of 239 years. These teachers were enlightened souls whose main purpose in life was the spiritual and moral well-being of the masses. By setting an exceptional example of how to live a holy and worthy life through practising righteous principles of living their human lives, they sort to awaken the higher conciousness in the human race. The Gurus taught the people of India and beyond, to live spiritually fulfilling lives with dignity, freedom and honour.

I replied to your comment of mine "I think christmas/easter should not be taught in schools at all...its a harmful load of bumkin in my opinion"
Year good will towards men is evil stuff
It is not good will, in the first instance greed and in the second on easter which i went on in my next post in sayingthe Easter story-line clothed in chocolate in an attempt to explain the resurrection. Reincarnation, it falls a long way short of explaining anything useful.
You came into this thread without offering any reason whether you support or not what was posted by OP, instead without reading what i had said on the subject you launch into a personal attack on my person, i do not see xmas as just good-will i see it as a lie to curry favor with vulnerable young minds. Two clowns in the Federal Liberal Party have for some time been pushing for compulsorily study in every school of a religion i believe is utterly flawed, is responsible for most of the wars, promotes self interest and presumes everybody else should shut up and say nothing. I think they are talking crap and it happens the right of free thought is every-bodies right

Easter, the pagan god of fertility. Christians cote their eggs in chocolate to entice that fertility in order to bring masses to the faith.
robplum: Did you not notice India put a Sikh (worrier class) in as PM when it became evident China would back Pakistan
No I haven’t noticed but I can imagine why. Hindus have always been against Sikhism, so have Pomes. History tells us both have betrayed them. At one stage the Pomes denied employment world wide to anybody who followed the 10 gurus especially in India. Interestingly, Pomes and Hindus see Sikhism as a threat, because of the philosophy to unite more than one religion.

kizzy27: The peace on earth stuff 7 good will to others i refer too!
i have never claimed to be enlightened thats rubbish kizzy, Christmas may mean that to you, but not me, more likened to an economic stunt, you bet my mind is completely closed to flawed harmful teachings, Jesus clearly displayed self cherishing which is the root cause of all our suffering, you can choose to call him whatever you like, but not me and that's my right. In saying that i am abusing you mealy expressing what i think, if it offends you that other don't share your views why on earth to you attack the views of others i don't know
