I was with my wife and other people in my house when we saw the first and the second plane hiting the towers.
Then I made a telephone call to a friend whose business office was very near Empire State Building. His boyfriend was in the WTT zone, both survived.
I said them was impossible it were casual accidents.
jvaski: I still remember that STUPID look on Bush's face as he was told what happened in the kid's classroom. The event served to falsely glorify him as our protector .....
That wasn't a stupid look. If you knew what was behind that look you wouldn't make such ignorant remarks.
Please turn on the National Geographic channel and watch the interview of George Bush. All this week National Geographic has had programs that are very informative about what happened and how the Freedom Tower is being built.

Sure I remember ... the orthodox church has a holy day on 11th September "Beheading of St. John the Baptist".

For sure... I was at university... and I missed a class so thought Id go for a coffee with a friend... then we saw on CNN the first plane and while we're still shocked about that... the second plane crashed...
Got me thinking that day abt ,how fragile we're ,even the most powerful nations are vulnerable...

yes i remember very vividly i woke up turned on the tv and saw the twin towers being struck on tv,while getting ready to go to work at my job in a grocery store. it was a very somber day one of the quietest days ive had no one knew what to say or how to act. there was alot of tears shed not just by our shoppers but by my fellow employees. days later we held a memorial at our local fairground i never knew for such a small town that so many would show up. I dont remember crying so much or how loud i and all my fellow man chanted USA! i congratulate bush for getting saddam and i congratulate obama for getting osama. i have a cousin serving in afghanistan now and i am DAMN PROUD i had a grandfather serve in the korean war in the army and i had a grandfather serve in the navy during ww2 and i am DAMN PROUD! do i remember? YES I DO GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS! and GOD BLESS AMERICA!
I just had carpal tunnel surgery and was taking a nap. The phone rang and it was my daughter saying that a plane hit the World Trade Center. I figured it was a small Cessna and would just be a little damage to the building.
I went to turn the tv on and it was 10:28, the very moment the second tower went down (the north tower). I sat there stunned and thought I was looking at a hollywood movie. I didn't even shed a tear in that moment. When I realized what happened is when I sobbed to the point that I couldn't stop. I don't live too far from where the towers were. It felt like it all happened in my backyard.
Sometime later I and two other people went to Ground Zero. We stood in line for hours waiting for our turn to get up to the spot where two skyscrapers once stood. It was unbelievable what we saw. The line of people curved around buildings, up streets and then finally to the viewing stand. As we waited in line, firemen were walking to the scene. I stuck my hand out and shook hands with one of them and broke down into tears as I thanked him for his work.
Now they are building The Freedom Tower which will be 1,776 feet high in recognition of our freedom in the year 1776. Each spot of land where the buildings once stood has a Reflecting Pool with a waterfall. There will be 2,983 planted trees for each one who died in the Memorial Park which is where the Museum is that holds the fire engine that was nearly destroyed and many others things from Ground Zero.
All last week and this week National Geographic has had programs called Rebuilding The Towers. The programs show how the ironworkers are taking extra measure with fireproofing and extra sturdy concrete to protect the new building called Freedom Tower which will be dedicated this Sunday, the 10 year anniversary of this horrific disaster brought on all people..
Driving home from work, and when I heard and saw I new I'll be going to war soon cos America will go to war and I did go to war cos of it - - - - My first thought was - - - Crap, that's it, the world will end as we know it - - - -and it did - - - -

.......after 10 years, americans are blasted tired of the 9/11 reminders.....of the 3000 supposed dead, we would like to know how many of them faked it for the money......and are living in south america with insurance money and government compensation to their families.........also- the median monetary worth of the supposed 3000 dead is far, far above that of the average american......these are the types who now holler to keep the bushie tax breaks for the super-rich........9/11 reminiscing is a waste of time- and a waste of sympathy for the super-rich who do not care if the poor in america have enough food.....the super-wealthy far, far outnumbered the few hapless firemen around the buildings.......

So, how how many days has it been since you've slept Woody?
Yes, I was at work. A colleague came running into the office saying that two planes had flown into the Twin Towers in NY. Of course, we were astounded and didn't know what to make of it.
When I got home and saw the News.....
Horrific! My blood ran cold and whoever is responsible is an evil, evil person that surely cannot be redeemed?!
Only absolute SCUM would even entertain something like that to innocent people, let alone DO IT?!!!
