Im fed up of all thses commemorations for september 1th yes it was sad and will have ramifications for decades to come. However there are terroorist attacks all around the world almost on a daily basis but when it happens to Americans its like no one has experienced it or cannot possibly understand it. wrong we have lived with teroorism in britain for over forty years we get it understand it. we do not commeorarate it . Going over the same stuff year in year out sounds like americans feeling sorry for themseleves as i said was a sad day and as a human my heart goes out for the families of those involved, however how many people have died in theier names ? Thousands and thousands. Move on an try to live in peace with one another

Those in other parts of the world are more than welcome to remember whatever way they wish. In the US and Canada we remember with ceremonies and things like that. Hell, we even pause on November 11 to remember all of our veterans who served in peace and at war.

Those who do not remember history are destined to repeat it. As well, this helps some people heal and I certainly wouldn't deny or criticize that.

Not going to annoy me at all....but it does annoy you, so YOU are the one who has to deal with it.

We are not feeling sorry for ourselves. We feel sorry and sad that 2,983 people died in a terrorist attack. That their bodies were incinerated, that there was nothing left of their bodies for their families to bury.

"Move on", people have their own way of moving on. Some move on when they are joined together with others who have suffered the same sorrow.

If Oslo does a thread on the anniversary of the Norway murdering spree are you going to complain about that too? wine

I am NOT glorifying war.

The purpose of my thread was to be respectful to those who died.

WE WILL NEVER FORGET.

Everyone who is a CS member has the choice of what they want to post on CS as long as they are respectful to other members.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion but to say that anyone who posts in a thread about Sept. 11th is "glorifying war" is disrespectful...Shame on you.

We have the right to mourn our almost 3,000 citizens who were lost during that terrorist attack.

Many of them innocents going about their lives, leaving husband's wives and children behind. The shock of it is still with us and we mourn deeply.

Start a thread on the ugliness and folly of war, or the leaders who took us to war and it's consequences, but here we mourn and remember.

we should all remember of those who had died and pay homage to them. also we should be vigilent against those who will do this nation harm and come together as americans and stop the infighting among ourselves. we should have a strong military to deal with those who dare hurt our nation. this travisty will rank with those other calamities that befalled our nation like pearl harbor

In response to: Do you still remember what you did on 11 September 2011?
I was having a coffee with friends, we watched the news and thought the tragedy was part of a movie ... unfortunately it was real!

That day will stick with me forever. It was the date I married my late husband and when we celebrated our anniversaries. After that terrible day it wasn't much fun to celebrate from that time on.

I think what YOU don't understand is that there weren't just Americans in the Towers that day.

It was known as The World Trade Center. It encompassed business entities from all over the world, including your own country.

So when you choose to disrespect a thread that is showing respect for people who died in those Towers, you are also disrespecting your own fellow man who died there that day...wine

On 9/11/01 I was there and watched the tragedy unfolding in front of my eyes from the corner of Greenwich and Beech street. For me it was not a TV image it was reality that has cast a long shadow on my life.
