Don't worry LD, you don't have to apologize for a fellow pig headed guy. I commend you for stepping up to the plate and doing the right thing by your children and setting a good example of what a responsible and caring father is and should be. You are what a good woman appreciates...a guy who will pitch in with whatever needs to be done in the kitchen.
I am also an excellent baker as well and bake much from scratch. My guy assists me in the kitchen with whatever I ask of him, be it dishwashing, cutting up something, drying and putting away the dishes. Don't even have to ask him to take out the trash as he does it automatically to help out. It's called teamwork and it takes both to work together to really put on, set the table appealingly and clean up from the type of meals I do on the weekends. Sometimes I am in the kitchen for 3 hrs at a time going non stop with 4 skillets, the microwave and the oven going. I literally have to lie down and put my feet up after I finish with the evening meal at times (before we go out anywhere) as my feet really ache along with my back from my back hernia issues at times. It's the sacrifice I make for a special person who never makes demands on me to cook or expects me to cook or entertain him and always asks if I would rather go out to eat anywhere I want rather than cook....but immensely enjoys what I cook or bake. He'll buy anything I ask him to get for a meal. It boils down to when I'm treated with respect, honor and love that respect, honor and love is given back and this is one of my ways. It's been a solid 4 yrs now and I met him on this CS site. He doesn't participate in the forums though. BTW, I've taught him how to cook too and he does pretty darn well when I'm a bit too back achy to do the main part of the cooking.
I have no doubt there are other quality men like you on this site who are truly gentle souls and respectful of women who will appreciate them. Just finding your right match is the challenge. She's out there..that's for sure.

If you are getting fat its not my fault , just get some exercise then

I occassionally buy free range lamb from New Zealand in our grocery store. What does a burger cost there. A dozen eggs here usually costs over a dollar but the organic fed free range chicken eggs can run as much as 3 dollars and change. A small McDonald's burger can start at around a dollar and go higher depending what type of artery clogging stuff is piled on it. I think I'd rather have the eggs and mix them with veggies or other ingredients to make up omlets or use them in meatloafs or othe baking foods. It would go much further than a burger. Now don't get me wrong...a good juicy lean burger with ketchup, pickle, a slice of melted mozzarela or Amish swiss cheese,sauteed mushrooms, spinach and a tomato is quite tasty in my opinion. I'll spring for a lean burger on occassion but am not a heavy meat eater at all. But every so often, I crave a burger. And yes...once in awhile crispy french fries. I think they are called chips in your country.

Gonna cut off for the night as it is 2:30am and it is unusual for me to still be awake at this hour, except when I'm studying for my college exams or working on my other schoolwork assignments. The time really slips away pretty fast when you are keeping up with an interesting forum.
It was a delight talking with you and look forward to chatting with you again sometime on any forum.

Amen brother. You're thinking is spot on perfect but that actual scenario is probably rare in the real world. It sure paints a very visual image though.
