for me a piece of mind - it reduces the high and lows to somewhere in between where I'm not acting like a mad woman one moment, and a baby sobbing all over the place the next...

I had a rough trot of it all and went nuts with having a house full of people living here... trying to work full time ... long hours.. and coming home to mess everynight, and of course I was the cook, the cleaner and the put it all awayer... and Ironer.. I reckon I lost it more than once... but finally it went away...
Although, I will dish out hugs and support to anyone going thru this... its cruel...

According to most woman it helps I didn't take anything I should have and maybe I would have been ok.

Well in a manner of speaking guys go through a male menopause some leave their wives and go with a younger woman as they are afaid of getting old. So it's a sociological thing with guys with woman it's hormonal. At the end of the day it does effect both men and woman. Then I have heard some woman don't get any side effects at all lucky them haven't met any though.
