Hi Ali, John's Link is a good one, I just watched it myself,,I watched the first one, I have yet to watch the Charlie Brown one but it is` probably a lot better than watching the "South Park" version..not that it might not be full of interesting information as well.

Here in America, Thanksgiving is a holiday where family and friends get together and celebrate. It's origins are from the days when the Pilgrims settled in the New Land. Generally there is a huge meal of turkey, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, deviled eggs, cranberry sauce, sweet potato pie, stuffing, rolls, pumpkin and apple pies and much, much more. It's a huge feast and generally lots of fun.

Ali do you have a harvest festival in your country? That is similar to what thanksgiving day is about. It is a time to celebrate the fruits of our labor with friends and family. Use to in years gone by they celebrated because of a good crop yeild. Not so many farmers now laugh So I celebrate I have been given the life I have.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong or off a bit, but from what I remember about the history of Thanksgiving, is that the Pilgrims had a hard time adjusting to the new country. But in the fall with the help of Native American Indians, they had a bountiful harvest and they were so thankful that they had a huge celebration of food and family gathering together to thank God for all the blessing He gave them while in the new land.
