Aah, the mysteries of life.
Blatantly promote yourself and it will go down like a lead balloon, especially as many regular posters are old enough to be your mummy, or daddy.
Create a thread where you (mildly) offend people by implying their all ugly and everyone will start flirting and mucking around with each other.
The lesson to learn is...join in and flirt and muck around with everyone else.
I had posted this in the *Picture Time* thread, but this is *my* experience with training a dog... (yours works... mine, not so much)
I met the guy that trained the littlest Hobo for the TV show here in Windsor once. I got a Lab and decided to train him to watch over my ex and our two little girls.
He had a habit of curling back his top lip and showing his teeth, which we originally called a *smile*... I changed that habit so that he would do it with the word *watch*.
Then I taught him to jump up on me, knocking me to the floor, then standing over me with the *watch* / grin... whenever I would *smack* one of the girls butts (or my arm, just to get the sound) and they would yell to alert the dog.
This worked so well, I called my brother over to show him. Told him to smack one of the girls butts... they would yell... the dog would jump up on him knocking him to the floor then stand over him with his teeth bared.
He was hesitant... but did it (I told him the dog would not bite him and don't look at his tail stub, cause it was wagging a mile a minute)
So he smacked... she yelled... the dog came barking down the stairs from the bedrooms where he was sleeping... jumped up and...
knocked *ME* down and stood over me with his teeth bared

Back to the drawing board
My first dog was a lab cross and he was a smiler. He became profoundly deaf in his middle years and we'd communicate entirely by facial expression.

I love the smilers.
So you never attempted to teach him sign language?
jac379: So what you and Field are both saying is a teenage pregnancy will be judged.
A young woman wouldn't be thrown out of the church, but she'd be judged.
Y'know, that atmosphere in church you can cut with a knife. I remember it well.
Oh, heavens, no! I never mentioned anyone in my church judging a pregnant teen. I merely meant that it would be about as surprising as a sudden car accident. Ka-wham! "HUH????"
Kaybee50: I just don't get it Jac. Why don't men like me bellowing at their windows and incessantly ringing their doorbells at 3 a.m.? Or showing up at their work with a pie? Or wearing my freshly pressed wedding dress on our first date? I just don't get it.
Careful, there, girl. You're putting ideas in my head, and you're an awfully tempting morsel as it is. Any of these ideas would work for me, and ye wouldn't want to be putting me over the edge, now would ye?
I can just imagine the conversation:
My family: "What is this woman doing on your doorstep in a wedding dress?"

His point is,he isn't cute, thats why he doesn't have a girlfriend,or he isn't smart enough to have one,or very shy to say i like you.-And a few other reasons,as to why hasn't got one.
single4ever: Yep and all the cute guys have girlfriends. What is your point?
