It's a strange and amazing thing, when something as simple as a smile, or a glint in the eye, or something posted, prompts us to take a 2nd look, a 3rd look, and then the scary risk of reaching out...so subtly at first. What do you want from a partner????

Why do I want to be part of a pair? For all of these reasons, and so many more....
* the thrill of signing on hoping to see a message from him, and there it is in the Inbox.
* to go from sleep to wakefulness each morning with a warm, honey-like feeling spreading from head to toe, because he is the first thought of the day.
* how his "Good night and sweet dreams" sound so sincere.
* to unexpectedly think of something he said/wrote earlier, and allow that surprise moment of happiness to make me stop, smile, and "feel" for a moment in a busy day.
* the thrill of discovery, as the layers are peeled back one at a time.
* sending a message and receiving a response within a minute or two. THAT is such a small, but amazing thing!
* to go about the routine of the day and realize, I simply can't get this smile off my face.
* to risk saying for the first time, "I think of you", and to hear back, "I think of you too".
* to risk saying for the first time, "But I think of you all the time", and to hear back, "Yes, I feel the same".
* to risk saying, "But I am cross-eyed, have buckteeth, a wart on my nose, and look like Sasquatch", and to hear back, "That is ok. You are lovely to me".
* to experience and share in the pure thrill of his daily adventures and successes.
* to feel the hundreds of butterflies in my tummy when he says, "I will see you soon"...

I want their laughter, sadness, strength, fear, love, dislikes, company, space, I want to have someone whom I can share life with, through good times and bad.
What will you compromise to be with him/her.
Definitely not my charcter. I believe in changing little quirks to become compatible, but your character, style, and such is a unique trademark. As for what would I compromise physically? I would go to just about any extremes for the woman I love, just as you would for your child. Everything within reason of course, you don't want to end up institutionalized.

Pairs are part of life. They go hand in hand and look beautiful together, sun-blue sky, beautiful landscape-waterfall, Mother Duck-6 littles ducklings follwing her. It's only a natural desire to be a part of that.

I enjoy having a partner - being part of a couple - enjoy the closeness, the love - (won;t do it with out the love)
What I want from a partner is to be loved - and for that not to be a guessing game - I mean I would never want someone to feel that he's "settled" by being with me - someone who really wants to be with me- I'd want that to be genuine
I would not compromise core values - but I can compromise on the things it takes to live in Harmony -though I would not relocate any substantial distance because my family is here

I believe that whatever the choice and/or fate, as some think, happens to be, there are plusses and minuses in all. The single life is quite suitable for some, some really do much better coupled. It is true enough that those who remain single won't have a comparison, that's a wrench in the spokes, I guess, but if he or she is truly happy living a solitary life, that is also great for them.
