You are so right serene, if a person cant accept you as you are thier not right for you. Im lucky l found Tony, he accepts me axactly as l am and accepts the fact that l care for my mum. You would be surprised how many men emailed me before Tony and the moment they found out l was a carer l never heard from them again. And l wouldnt change Tony for the world either, l accept him totally as he is which is the way it should be

The beauty of some one is their soul not short or long hair,smoker or non smoker
Fat or thin,
I live for my children and myself to be HAPPY
And I don't let any body change that as hard as they may try.

I don’t think you can change anybody forcefully but you do have to make some changes in any relationship. If you care for some one you take them for who they are.

I think I am as far as intrinsic values, morals and such and my habits are similar so I'm still me but in an older package lol.

Nooo Serene, definately not... I am very much changed... I had some really harsh beliefs ( which was learned behaviour from my growing up and continually listening to my mum) around people, habits, hygene, religion, personal appearance, etc... I am still the same as in I eed lotsa quiet time to myself, a reader, and like focussing on my own home projects, but my values have changed enormously... but it took heaps to break away from my family to allow my own thoughts to dominate. .
Now I am much more accepting of a whole range of things.
and things for myself as well. I still tend to pigeon holes certain things, and I have a home for every single thing, and Mr Sheen is still sorta my best friend, but I am getting better.
