mak_uits: sometimes i imagine how can a person be atheist! any person with intelligence will admit the existence of God. a small coin can't change its position if an external force is not applied to it. then how can the whole universe, the earth, the sun, the galaxies are working on their own way? billions of people but their appearances, fingerprints are identical, is it just a coincidence? everything around us are proofs of the existence of God, we just need open eyes to realize it.
Because we don't have the answers and facts to the cause and purpose of nature and our universe we are all allowed to have our own theorise about it. But just because we like the idea of one of them very much I think it is foolish to then assume it to be factual.
trueheart1941: my belief is ............a man ...(jesus)....came amonst us.....a very intelligent man of his time.......who could cure people .....perhaps a herberlist......!!!!!with love in his heart...for his fellow man..just an ordinary man ....who saw injustice.....by the romans.....and spoke out.......of course the romans saw him as a threat.....and the people loved him ...for what he did......a saver of life.........what more could one wish for......but he paid the price...for his beliefs....as we all know.....so......there you have it.......just an ordinary man.....who died...but left his mark......on the world.........jmo........
Dear Trueheart, Jesus wasn't a threat to the Romans, he was a threat to the religious powers that where in controle . Does this sound a little familiar ?

May be try to read Steven Hawking, he is a great cosmologist and physicist and he gives reasons why there is no need for god to explain Universe and life in his book Grand Design.
Although we all like to stick to our beliefs and interpret the evidence according to them, so what is a point to try to impose them on others?
when someone wants to accept islam he/she should declare Shahada, which says -- THERE IS NO GOD but only Allah, Muhammad (sW) is the last and final messenger from Allah. so the atheist people have done half of the job to become muslim by declaring THERE IS NO GOD. now just to accept the part " but only Allah, Muhammad (sW) is the last and final messenger from Allah."
most of the people who believe in God are doing blind belief - he is a Christian, because his father is a Christian; he is a Hindu, because his father is a Hindu; the majority of the people in the world are blindly following the religion of their fathers/mothers. An atheist, on the other hand, even though he may belong to a religious family, uses his intellect to deny the existence of God; what ever concept or qualities of God he may have learnt in his religion may not seem to be logical to him.
My first question to the atheist will be: "What is the definition of God?" For a person to say there is no God, he should know what is the meaning of God. If I hold a book and say that ‘this is a pen’, for the opposite person to say, ‘it is not a pen’, he should know what is the definition of a pen, even if he does not know nor is able to recognise or identify the object I am holding in my hand. For him to say this is not a pen, he should at least know what a pen means. Similarly for an atheist to say ‘there is no God’, he should at least know the concept of God. His concept of God would be derived from the surroundings in which he lives. The god that a large number of people worship has got human qualities - therefore he does not believe in such a god.
mak_uits: religion is a belief, not a blind faith. it has so many proofs by the modern science.
religion is perhaps the wrong word to use,it means something entirely differnt than your faith, or belief, religion means to do something consistently,or on a regular basis, one can garden religiously, fish religiously, play golf religiously, ect,,i think it helps if we get out of language ruts, and say words in their proper context.it's all part of higher under standing. so religion is not your belief, rather how,one does their belief

Why and how could someone define god if he or she doesn’t believe one exists… OK. here is my definition “NOTHING”
Obviously you are a team player and your team is islam, jews have their own and christians have yet another. Like Great Richard Dawkins says. “We are all atheists-You don’t believe in any other god but your own, I happen to believe in one less than you.”

mak_uits: Atheists are arrogants and they don't have enough knowledge about science.
Says who? Have u talked to all of us?
mak_uits: mostly they read some books written by other atheists, watch some similar documentaries and devoted to media. they never do their own researches.
Exactly same thing that believers do... Read some books written by other believers.
Most of believers choose their family's beliefs. It's alright ,for some people It works.
I bet ur family is muslim as well... Right?
mak_uits: research should be to check the original resources, not just to glance at other peoples' works.
Did you?
How can u check the original source of something that happened million of years ago? or talk to those researchers that died like thousand of years ago.
Doesn't make ANY sense.
And yes I read Quoran , years ago. Just to know have an Idea.Wich doesn't make me an expert at all. Just as matter of getting some knowledge in the subject.
What I'm trying to say it's that ur "Trying to convince people to convert and believe by telling them they are wrong and I'm right" Method , won't work... It never does.

Having had a scientific education, I certainly believe in the power of the universe and nature. It is plainly there for all to see in all its glory and complexity.
In the past people have needed to quanitfy this power as well as their own superstitions and encapsualte pretty much everything they didn't understand into one (or sometimes several) deities. It just makes it so much easier to explain to children if God is a very old man sitting in the clouds with a white beard with multifarious angels hanging about.
And therein lies the point. The whole concept of a deity is rather simplistic and jeuvenile. It is time we grew up, psychologically and sprirtually and recognise that this multi-levelled, wonderfully magical universe, our very environment is, in fact, our 'God' if you like. Though I really despise the idea that such a massive, complex and yes connected entity such as the universe should be compressed into a single, simple icon. I celebrate its size and diversity, not its singualrity.
People have been confused for a long time. God did not create the universe. The universe created God, in a perverse kind of way by creating us first. We just need to adjust our thinking to understand that our spirituality is not connected to some being way off in the distance, isolated and unapprachable but manifest all around us and in us.
We are creatures of the light. Made of the same material as light and maintained by ot also. Angels if you prefer. Everyone of us is capable of great evil or great goodness. Don't look outside for spritual enlightenment. Check out the mirror first then go and connect with nature.
