You see it on this site too, where to spend your money, ie: sites and specials etc...

Do we really need all this stuff?

Looking at where other countries spend their money and what we spend it on, it seems we have a lot of cash left over after taking care of the basic stuff like food and shelter which is only a 1/4 of our incomes, the rest of our money is wasted on consumerism.

Mr Kerry "daggyone" Packer does not seem to realise than 1/4 of our incomes goes in TAX, 1/4 goes on food and for those unfortunates starting out today, something like 1/2 goes in mortgage repayments.

I look at the poor young couples starting out in Melb. it's like $220,000 for a 600sm2 building block in Langwarrin - 1hr from the City. doh
It's like, why would you just buy a block when you could buy a whole house in Wonthaggi for that much?
Own it sooner and be out of the banks clutches.

Heaps of people commute from here to the city, it's 1hr 20min by train conversing

Housing is a fraction of the cost here too but if I was young and earning the big bucks that you can in the city, I'd be living there too thumbs up

That's just it, you could earn the big bucks, live in a burb and feel good knowing you're holiday at The Entrance is just 12 months away, or live on a lower wage with a lower mortgage and live where you love to go every year all year long.
