The Drowning Man
A fellow was stuck on his rooftop in a flood. He was praying to God for help.
Soon a man in a rowboat came by and the fellow shouted to the man on the roof, “Jump in, I can save you.”
The stranded fellow shouted back, “No, it’s OK, I’m praying to God and he is going to save me.”
So the rowboat went on.
Then a motorboat came by. “The fellow in the motorboat shouted, “Jump in, I can save you.”
To this the stranded man said, “No thanks, I’m praying to God and he is going to save me. I have faith.”
So the motorboat went on.
Then a helicopter came by and the pilot shouted down, “Grab this rope and I will lift you to safety.”
To this the stranded man again replied, “No thanks, I’m praying to God and he is going to save me. I have faith.”
So the helicopter reluctantly flew away.
Soon the water rose above the rooftop and the man drowned. He went to Heaven. He finally got his chance to discuss this whole situation with God, at which point he exclaimed, “I had faith in you but you didn’t save me, you let me drown. I don’t understand why!”

I dont see the reason or the need for such a 'higher being' in my life, its simple, we're born, we reproduce, we die, just like every other living organism really
Why would I need to believe that this 'god' person created all known things?! That just belittles and demeans the wonder of nature and life! No, not for me thank you very much!

So many of us/all of us have lost someone because thats how life is, no one can live forever and unfortunately, and sadly, accidents occur, sickness/desease develop, its not a lottery, some dude pulling names out of a hat as to whom will be doled out a particular faith, but, down to coincedence, genetics, health (mental/physical) etc etc
Homeless people dying on the streets, well....they dont have to die on the street, maybe theyre on the street of their own choosing, maybe they are unwell, perhaps we could do more, but, in many cases we choose to turn away and concentrate on our own lives. We could help, but, in general we dont, we leave them to their own 'faith'.
Third world countries starving, hmm, wont go into all the facts and figures, but, there is no reason what so ever why they should be starving and if the western world really wanted to cure the isue it could, and quickly, but, why bother, why empower that continent, keep them subdued and on the brink of life while we over here spend and waste on epic proportions.........we could help, but we dont.
I'm sure rapists, murders, paedo's etc do die, of course they do, theyre human too, but, I guess theyre in the majority, theres so many 'good' people that theyre sort of outnumbered by a massive percentage They die, of course, and its easy for us to say, when we see an unjustifiable death to say/think 'why should they die when other scumbags live' - see paragraph 1 on, coincedence, chance, health, etc etc.
