I love the tattoos of your culture. They're are works of art, and not something that's likely to be regretted a few years down the line.

Be proud of them, as you most likely are, and ignore those that don't like them. Their loss.

I don't buy pictures to put on my wall for the simple reason within a very short period of time I'll not want them there.....

would be the same with a tattoo..

I have tattoos but I had the foresight to get them on my torso, upper back and upper arms. This way I can wear a short sleeve shirt and you wouldn't even know I was sporting ink. This way I advertise them when I want and cover them when i wish to appear more conservative.

Actually what most people don't realise is, you have to maintain your tattoos every few years. I've just had alot of mine relined and recoloured, and now they look like new again. You don't buy a car, drive it for 15 years and only ever put one set of tires on it do you?? You maintain them so they stay in good condition.

I was thinking of getting one to cover up keratosis. keratosis is a condition where people have extra keratin and have harmless brown spots on the torso. There was a picture in a magazine of a lady who got her chest covered with beautiful flowers to cover up that she had a breast removed.

I ment that the skin is not fresh and smooth anymore so the tatoos lose their shape and get wrinkled...and it's really not a nice thing to look at...cheers

Oh I agree with you, I was just pointing out to everyone that you can make them last much much longer as long as you invest a little every few years. I think once a person reaches the age where the skin is that bad, I doubt they really care laugh

cheers
