Christianity is a religion for the mind and for the scholars. The few who are interested in pastoral care lives an invisible life in the shadow of the preachers of the doomsday. Heaven and hell isn't an issue in literature of pastoral care. Strange isn't it?
I believe that people becomes obsessed with eschatology because of lack of love in their own life. Often it's male singles who have eschatology as a hobby. This is an intellectual battlefield where the right answer easily can be found in the the map (the scripture, or the Bible). You don't need to use your own brain, just continue like a train.

Every biblical is beyond the logical and reasonable level. Therefore Paul had to say that people need to be fools in Christ. Yet the scholars teach in the academic level. Paradoxes and contradictions is a part of the everyday life of a christian.
