wash2u: Most States have had Daylight Savings for about 40 years. But it has to be a fraud.

With Superannuation, I get a letter every year telling me how much I have invested, and how crappy it is performing.

Not once have I received anything from the Govt to tell me how much daylight I have saved up over the years.

Could use a bit during the winter months in Melbourne. Driving to work waiting for the sun to rise, driving home in the dark.

Hi Wash... never mind... the govt sent out letters to say that for the amount of time that your curtains become exposed to fading in the summer months.. It becomes well compensated for the little light they are exposed to in the winter months... didn't cha get it...??? laugh

No WA banned daylight savings from ever showing up again two or more years ago in a referendum! We just don’t need it here, its 36deg here today, how the rain over there?

Good stuff LiLee it takes ages waiting for a grandchild to turn up, more so than your own child I think .

Before they throw me in a hole I want to visit France and Canada to pay respects to my father's uncle (wwI France ) and my uncle from my mothers side killed training to fly (ww11 )which ended my mother's line .

congrats LiLee, and to your son and daughter in law as well!

My life, well it is to live each day and not regret. No huge plans but have achieved some goals that I never thought I would.

I would love to see more of Australia, havent seen west of Port Augusta yet or north of Wilpena Pound. Got to get north of Brissy yet as well but think I just might leave that for at least a few weeks while they clean up after the ex Oswald

Oh how wonderful for you Lilee? Sooo exciting! thumbs up

Have to say I don't want grandkids just yet, my kids are too young, 18 & 20 so I am quite happy right now to have some breathing space and time for ME!

I could spend the rest of my life travelling I think but of course as I have gotten older my ideas have changed. Seen most of Europe, and there are some places I would go back to - Spain holds a piece of my heart hug Love it.

Would love to go to Canada and East Coast of the STates. Not too fussed on most Asian countries although I would love to go to Japan for the different culture.

Seen a lot of Oz, but would like to get to WA, Tasmania and NZ.

And yes would like to meet someone special to share the simple things in life - someone to clean my dentures and check the batteries in my hearing aids and still think I am a treasure? laugh heart wings

I am not sure what is on my bucket list, I have no firm plans to do anything in particular. In saying that though, once I get an idea in my head, I am off and running with it. I don't believe in making too many plans for the future as we never know what is in store for us, so I just run with it. I have traveled a little now an have a bug for it. I love different races and cultures as an observer and I would like to maybe experience more. cool

Many years ago, my wife and I took our kids (10 & 9) to Europe for 3 month trip. My daughter did a similar trip many years later but said she didn't remember going, until she got there and she kept saying "I've been here before."

Odd thing about Aust is that there are so many extremes. We have snowfields and we have deserts. And we have a very diverse eco-system ranging from the deserts to the tropicals. Too many things to have on a bucket list for just one country, and so far apart.
