It still seems more socially acceptable for the guy to be older than the woman if the age difference is more than ten years. jmo. I do know some lucky people who are very happy and have a large age gap. I think I have always been more comfortable dating guys my own age. i'm also a shorty so most guys are taller as well. Which is good.

Believe her. I've had a couple of women who were taller than me, and it not good.being 5'2 means there aren't too many guys shorter than me.....call me shallow but I do like to look up to my man.

I have a son who is 6'5" and a daughter 5'2" (minus). They went to a private Dutch-based school and the Dutchies are usually tall, up around the 6' mark. Even the girls.
My favourite saying/quote from my daughter when she came down to Melb was when she out at some nightclub was when a guy said "How does it feel to be dancing with someone talling than you?"
"Not used to short-arses like you."
She has married a guy who is 6' 2"
It is really the person you are attracted to that counts.
Okay, we do have our preferences but that should not lock us in to only a limited field. It only shows what we "prefer." Not limited to.

I was a bit conscience of the sensitive issue surrounding her height deficiency in MY family......
I do recall one of my cousins making the reference "Thanks be that I didn't get those genes." My shortest aunt is 5' 8"
A lot of my female cousins are a bit less. Although one is topping 6'
