WW3? Syria/Russia/Iran/Hezbollah V. USA/UK/Fr (179)
facetowardsfront: Obama says he is going to attack targets in Syria in the coming days. He says it will not be an 'open ended' attack and there will be no 'boots on the ground' but is that possible? Russia has already said it will retaliate, as have Iran and Hezbollah. When the Hezbollah rockets and incursions start into northern Isreal the Israeli's will fire in all directions, Hamas and Islamic Jihad will take advantage of Israel's weakness and rise from Gaza, the West Bank and inside Jerusalem. The Iranians will close the Straits of Hormuz, severly reducing world oil supply and all Russian pipelines into Europe will be closed. And so on and so on. Putin, Ahmedinejad, Hizbollah and Assad may just take the slap on the face from the Peace Prize winner but I don't think so. If I were Obama in a dance hall and I saw Assad across the floor with Putin, Ahmedinejad and Hezbollah I wouldn't send my guys over to slap him on the face and think that they could walk away without getting a few clips back. But then I'm not a Nobel peace prize winner, so what do I know.These Russian vessels are now off the coast of Israel

That's true. Syria is just a stepping stone to Iran. Israel is worried about Syria's airforce so this upcoming bombing is to destroy the Syrian air capability for Israel. Then they are free to go after Iran.

Them tanks cost millions and seem to defeat the porpose of operating them when some fella with a cheap weapon can blow them up, their just big targets.modermen: The fear of being in one of those things must be unbelievable, I read somewhere the old r.p.gs are not much good, yeah the new ones are deadly, thats frightening the way all the ammo fuel goes up, I don't know why they don't have more infantry protecting them, looks like the rebels are going to loose the war?
The second video of the tank going up is old. A few times that happened until they sat down and had a rethink. Around that time they were driving tanks into unknown territory and then just driving away again. No good, and no infantry support and they lost a good few.
Nowadays as the other videos show, you see it done right. Tanks are used as mobile hardpoint destroyers... constantly on the move and in numbers. They don't get destroyed as much nowadays.
On the previous videos, the Arabic guy doing the shouting beside the camera man... most of the time he's the group commander. He can see everything and he's issuing orders down the blower to the other tanks. A very different situation to conventional tank tactics that has the group commander actually in one of the tanks... with limited visibility.
Rebels have all but lost the South of Syria including Homs where it all started.. Last major battle will be in Aleppo.

Thats interesting to know for some countries ie Russia as I seen in a video that they are there on the ground watching, that kind of experience must be invaluable , I heard also the Ruskis gave the the Syrian army the top of the range anti aircraft rockets so I take it if the Americans go in with air power their going to take losses, its being very sketchy as to who's suplying the rebels with weapons, the Syrian people can't be that bad off with free health care and education, then again the rebels couldent continue without the support of the locals.Nowadays as the other videos show, you see it done right. Putin said he witheld a few vital components of the S-300 system. He gave them the car but he's keeping the key..... for now.
Three more Russian ships heading there today including marianes. They're probably going to secure the port of Tartus.
