Looks like their getting organised, nice wide open space giving plenty of scope to operate in, I don't understand why they havent used more of their air force.

They must reckon this is a better tactic.

Well it looks like the Americans aren't going to get involved in Syria, I spose its hard to choose which 1000 or more different insurgents groups to supply, then if they did supply them what would happen if they won the war it would be total chaos after with all different groups fighting for power,Syria would go back to the stone age.

facetowardsfront: Obama says he is going to attack targets in Syria in the coming days. He says it will not be an 'open ended' attack and there will be no 'boots on the ground' but is that possible? Russia has already said it will retaliate, as have Iran and Hezbollah. When the Hezbollah rockets and incursions start into northern Isreal the Israeli's will fire in all directions, Hamas and Islamic Jihad will take advantage of Israel's weakness and rise from Gaza, the West Bank and inside Jerusalem. The Iranians will close the Straits of Hormuz, severly reducing world oil supply and all Russian pipelines into Europe will be closed. And so on and so on. Putin, Ahmedinejad, Hizbollah and Assad may just take the slap on the face from the Peace Prize winner but I don't think so. If I were Obama in a dance hall and I saw Assad across the floor with Putin, Ahmedinejad and Hezbollah I wouldn't send my guys over to slap him on the face and think that they could walk away without getting a few clips back. But then I'm not a Nobel peace prize winner, so what do I know. These Russian vessels are now off the coast of Israel
Imagine there over a thousand different rebel factions in Syria so imagine if NATO back them up and they win the war, they would then start a new civil war among themselves for power not to mention the problems it would cause in America in the Army for backing up their so called enemies , it would be a war without end.

I know it’s a MPAD, ya cheeky brat. I probably knew that when you were still complaining about having to eat sprouts laugh

But that doesn’t mean the snackbars wouldn’t fire it at a tank, hoping the infra-red would lock onto it’s heat signal. That's what it looked like to me when I glanced at that part of the vid. I guess the wide angle camera they were using made it look like it was soaring upward and away. Later on, if I'd watched, it shows it from the second camera angle. Obviously some sort of greanade. ANNA are calling it a shaped charge but it doesn't look much like that. If you freeze the vid in high resolution you can see it has the pop-out fins.

What do you think it is MajorDog?

The tank guy fired a bit low. It looks like the shell entered the ground floor so the concrete floor may have saved Alan Snackbar a bit but I reckon he still needs that bandaid.

C'mon now. Let's cheer on the Rabbles

Hang on there ColonelFace until I strap myself in and put on my ArmChair General Ribbons.... that's better.

Nah, not a SA-7. SA-7 has more than 4 stabilisers and they are small with a smooth constant silhouette profile along it's body. Doesn't the Grail and the Gimlet have a boost charge that punches them out of the tube first and are very smokey? IN the slow MO, that seemed like a single boost. We can see the 4 Stabilisers. It's got a bulge and a tapered look to it's profile. So I'll go with a RPG-7.

I demand you address me by my proper rank of Wing Commander Rear Flipper and Master of the Universelaugh

I grabbed a screen shot of the Item. Whatcha think?

Look at that warhead. Is it a thermobaric piss pot coz it sure doesn't look like an 'shaped charge' like they keep calling it. And the fins? You could hang your clothes on them. About twice the diameter of an RPG - 7 /22/28 etc. And the shaft with the sustainer motor looks way wider than the rpg launcher could take? I wonder are the snackbars making something of their own?

Maybe the reason it missed by so much WAS that when they fired it they a) forgot to account for how close the tank is (less than 80ft I'd say?) and the sight is probably zero at 100 yds and b) they forgot to account for the fact they were firing form the second floor so they're firing from 0+13ft?

It's a pity I don't watch football in the evening. At least then I would be concerning my mind with life and death stuff.

Yes. There is a TGB-7 warhead for the RPG-7V2. It's fatter than the rest. He probably calls it shaped charge as it's the most ubiquitous. There are fatter HEAT rockets also, which have a point. The TGB-7 has a flat head on it, and it's hard to decide whether the screen shot might have one.

Thanks for that. I still have the same reservations but that screenshot is not the best to be going off.
