I think a lot of men don't want to deal with confrontation so they just walk away as it's the easy way out. They don't have the balls to tell it to your face. Being ignored is more hurtful than the honest truth.

that's a stereotype prejudice... i can tell you SOME women ain't any better in this respect, same as SOME men are... so take it easy, it's not a question of gender, but rather a question of character...

It's extremely cruel though because they instill false hope in their victims then drop them suddenly when they realise the "relationship" is moving to a level they either don't want, or can't let happen because they are married or not who they purport to be.

I've had the same issues. I've very blunt and honest about what I want and expect. It helps weed some out, at least those that bother to read your profile. But I don't give my number to just anyone. I have to talk to them more on here and get a feel for them and see if I think it might be a go. That is not a fail safe because obviously I'm still looking and only two men have gotten my number. Both were mistakes. One ended up being married even though his profile said SINGLE and the other lied about who he was. I see it on both sides, and unfortunately this is on a website where lies, deciet, and playing the other party is much easier to do.
