--Not many drivers know this but your car has a secret device on it called an "indicator". If you look at your steering column, you will find a secret stick, which will activate a flashing orange light on the outside of your car. It flashes to let other drivers know in which freaking direction are you thinking of going.....So USE IT!!!!!--

Do you always signal??? It is so upsetting here in Florida,,,hardly anyone uses it. grrrrrrrrrrrr doh Even the police dont use it.

It's the same here, too. I think most people believe indicators are there merely as decorations. mumbling

Hi Reb wave Roundabouts are a new thing here and I get insulted by people on an almost daily basis for not treating it as a 4-way stop doh Taxi drivers are the worst offenders here...they stop anywhere without warning and don't care if they hit you or not. If you try and get their details they pull out a gun and either shoot or threaten you...not pleasant.

I don't drive, but from being a passenger and a pedestrian, I'd say it was rare for someone not to indicate here.

But then if you lot can't even drive on the correct side of the road, you're hardly likely to pay attention to minor details like indicating.

dunno

When I was still doing the commute to and from work, that was one of the biggest beefs I had about drivers. It's only been within the last decade that drivers and the police here have been negligent in using their turn signals. Some people still use them properly and some others will signal either too far in advance of the turn or signal right at the turn. Drove me nuts to the point that I was thinking of getting a loud speaker installed on my car with a looped recording of the word "arsehole". Anyhow, I'm diligent about using turn signals. laugh

And be careful.....cos that person on the right hand lane is perfectly correct in continuing round to his exit even if you´re in the inside lane and want to exit right before him.

It was a stick shift, I drive those here, but I was a passenger in Jamaica. I have driven in Mexico too. Loved that! They drive like maniacs there!
