Fires down under again? Ouch. Hey, does anyone here remember Sir partycolor? I guess it was about two years ago, he commented on fires in Australia and talked about the smoke being really close to his house.

I see hundreds of kids were in schools but teachers took them to safety...and mums were panicked looking for them..theres one guy on tv tring to get his stuff nto listening to the firefighters..thats why people die......they dont go...

Yes, very smoky here right now, but it's mostly blowing in on the wind from miles away.
This is just the beginning I fear, summer isn't even here yet...

I dont know him, but its bad alright....they move so fast wind and heat and eucalpypts which burn like petrol...

yes they risk the fireman, was one guy on tv doing it, they saying look mate its the smoke that will get you ..hes running back and back to his house....

I am in Qld about 1,000 kms north of Sydney and way out of danger of bushfires - this time.
It is scary to see as it is so early in the 'bushfire season'. We desperately need some good downpours of rain, been very dry for good couple of months at least.

Yes that was back in January, stifling!
Fortunately we don't get too many of those in this area and we tend to get coastal breezes which helps
